brick-loot-september-2016-box

Brick Loot is a monthly subscription box filled with LEGO-compatible items, bricks, and brick building accessories for LEGO fans. Brick Loot box is filled with 4-8 items that were hand picked by Brick specialists who scour the world for the newest and coolest products for you to collect.  This box is build-heavy, featuring mostly Brick Loot exclusive mini-builds (and some cool other stuff, too).

My 5 year old totally flips out when he sees this box – he knows exactly what it is and demands to review it immediately.

The box is no-nonsense, and packed with mini-builds and building accessories.  It is a great subscription for adding bricks, specialty accessories like lighting elements, and themed mini-figs to your collection — it often serves as a sampler pack for trying out products from various third-party LEGO-compatible vendors.

The theme for this one is Bricks To The Rescue.

Weapons Pack & Accessories Kit. The box came with 2 accessory kits and a sticker! One was a bunch of weapons and the other was random Lego accessories!

My 5 year old was really excited about these and made sure to return to my office to grab them later.

Exclusive Light Kit. Liteup Blocks are back! This one has siren lights and I managed to catch them both lit up, which happens for a millisecond – they alternate back and forth like siren lights usually do! There has been a Liteup Block in all but one Brick Loot box that we’ve ever received!

Exclusive Art Print. The art print was in the box again, but fortunately it didn’t seem to take the place of any bricks! My son was a fan!

Fireman and Police Minifigure Pack. 100% Lego!

The fire chief got a coffee while the Police dude was saddled with a giant walkie talkie and nightstick (from the accessory packs).

Metro Police Helicopter. The police helicopter was a huge hit! One small complaint – it was really hard to see the assembly directions for the black bricks, but I solved this issue by saving the bottom assembly for the end, and it all came together.

It looks great and the helicopter blades fold up and spin, and so does the little rotor at the back!

The set included a minifig too!

BrickBuildersPro Fyre Mech. This is an exclusive build that includes 100% authentic Lego bricks. My son was really excited about it! He loves robots!

brick-loot-september-2016-13
In fact, this is the first build that he’s ever completed start to finish! I was super proud, and so was he!

brick-loot-september-2016-14
This was a little fiddly but he was able to assemble the entire thing, and has been playing with it all week!

This month had a great classic theme and fun builds! My son loves this box and I love getting it in the mail, because it means some nice quality time with just me & him! While I’ve had some issues in the past with the Lego-compatible bricks I haven’t had a single one over the past few months. The quality is fantastic and we both love the themes!
