Beauteque offers two subscriptions featuring Asian beauty products delivered to your door monthly. Products include makeup, skin care, body care, and more. For $22 per month, your BB Bag comes with 6-8 full size products. If you like masks, the Mask Maven subscription brings you 9-11 various masks monthly starting at $14. The following is a review of the June BB Bag.
This is the most packing I’ve ever seen in a BB bag. Usually, it’s my bag and anything that didn’t fit inside. I feel that there’s less chance for breakage with all of this tissue.
Ah, that mask would have been a mess to wash off if it had leaked or broken. I’m loving the bright yellow on this month’s bag.
Everything in the June BB Bag. This month’s theme is Dessert For Your Skin
Beauteque Beauty Treats

The fold out card has information on each of the products and basic how to use directions. Pricing for products varied across sites. The prices listed are those of Beauteque.
Beauty Blending Sponge ($9.00): I started using a blender a few months ago, and I can say that it truly makes a difference in the application and appearance of my foundation. I use less product and my coverage is more even. Saving this for when my current sponge needs to be replaced.
Skinfood Black Sugar Mask ($11.99): This mask uses the power of sugar, along with vitamins and minerals, to exfoliate and draw out impurities. Massage onto a damp face, leave on for 10-15 minutes, and rinse for smoother and brighter skin. I would have preferred the A’pieu Rub in Gelato – Pistachio that some subscribers received as an alternate because I love a good clay mask.
Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm ($10.00): Before I start, how adorable is the cupcake container?!? This lip balm is very lightly pigmented (sorry, I didn’t photograph the swatch or think to do it on paper) and has a sweet watermelon scent. My niece took this one home with her and said that her lips felt softer after using it.
Purederm Vital Radiance Hair Mask – Honey ($4.00): Where was this when I came back from vacation? The salt water and chlorine did a number on my hair and this would have been perfect to try then. This is formulated to nourish chemically treated hair, so I expect the level of conditioning to be high. Between the humidity and rain we’ve been having here, the frizz factor is on the rise. I’ll save this as damage control when it gets out of hand.
The Saem Chocopie Hand Cream ($12.00): Chocopies were a favorite treat of mine growing up, and every now and then they make their way home with me. If you don’t know what it is, think Moon Pie only WAY better. This hand cream mimics the Banana Chocopie in looks and fragrance. I almost lost this to my sister, who used it before I could. She loved the banana scent and liked how moisturized her hands were once this was absorbed.
Yadah Silkyfit Concealer BB ($24.00?): Originally, I was supposed to receive the Holika Holika Cover Hiding Concealer No. 2 in my BB Bag. However, there was an issue and my bag was delayed. To compensate, Beauteque swapped in the Yadah Silkyfit Concealer BB which is a higher value item. They also emailed subscribers about the delay and change – so thoughtful (of course I deleted accidentally deleted the email). This combo contains a tube of BB cream with a matching concealer stick in the lid. I like the concept of this duo because it ensures that your coverage looks seamless. While this would have been good for my mother, it is not anywhere near my skintone and will be gifted. I did not swatch because it would have looked ridiculous.
And of course, the BB bag itself. This one is canvas, with a painted/dipped bottom. It is fairly large when compared to other BB bags. This one will be added to my travel rotation. I use these to separate my makeup, jewelry, and anything else I can think of inside my luggage.
The June Beauteque BB Bag was valued at over $70! I loved the cute packaging that tied back to the dessert theme. Of course the Chocopie handcream was my favorite. How’s your K-beauty experience going? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
On a Side Note: Before trying any Asian cosmetic subscription, expect that most information on the package will be in the native language. That said, more and more brands are including directions/ingredients in English, and information can also be found in English on the majority of brands’ websites (you may have to choose a brand’s global or US site). Secondly, a large number of products focus on brightening or whitening the skin. As a person of color, I have not seen my skin color change. Instead, I’ve experienced that my skin tone gets evened out after prolonged use. However, your results may be different. And lastly, many products contain ingredients which are animal-derived, so these may not be an option if you are vegan. You can also check out cosDNA.com to see if the ingredients for the product are listed there.
