July 2016 Love With Food Subscription Box Review + Coupons

Love with Food‘s July theme is Love is Adventure.  This is a fun snack discovery subscription available in three versions:  Tasting box, Deluxe box, and Gluten-free.  Below is a review of the Tasting box.  Be sure to check out our reviews of the other May boxes. LOVE IS ADVENTURE

It’s the height of summer, which means that everyone is raring to get outside and enjoy all the sun, warm weather and freedom that this season has to offer.  What pairs better with adventures than scrumptious snacks?  Nothing, we say.  That’s why we packed this month’s box full of bright, bold summer flavors that will be right alongside you as you hit the open road.

The information booklet contains a brief description of each item and its ingredients.  There is also a color-coded legend identifying which items are gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, organic, and dairy-free.  This is a nice, quick way to identify foods for those with special dietary needs.

The July Tasting Box!!!

Barney Butter Snack Pack:  Nut butters with fruit or crackers make a great late day snack, and this convenient pack makes it perfect to take in my lunch bag.  Plus, I like almonds WAY more than peanuts.

Pur Mints Mojito Lime Mint:  These are described as being “Cool and refreshing with a big lime kick that feels like summer.”  We had mixed reviews in house on these.  One person didn’t like the mint/lime flavor combination, saying that one flavor dominated the other in the worst way.  While the other thought the mints were great with no noticeable aftertaste and harmonious flavors.  I guess it’s all a matter of taste (pun intended).

Pretzel Perfection Twice-Baked Tomato Basil Pretzel Stick:  These were not what I was expecting.  I thought that the flavor would be baked into the pretzel dough, but it was more of a glaze on the pretzel.  That aside, these were very tasty and gone much too quickly.  I’ll have to look for them when I’m out shopping.

Pure Growth Organic Popcorn:  I may have mentioned this before, but mine is a popcorn household.  It’s our snack of choice.  The kernels were light with good texture and the saltiness was spot on.  The main popcorn fiend snagged this, didn’t offer to share, and gave it an OK.

Luna Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar:  I have a love/hate relationship with protein bars, meaning I either love them or I hate them.  There is no in-between.  Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Luna bars are not one of the ones I love.  BUT, they are on my sister’s list, so I’ll save this for her.  I will say that the combination of berries and Greek yogurt are tempting.

Jimmy Bar – No Bluffin’ Banana Muffin:  How delish are banana muffins?!?  This bar comes close to capturing the flavor.  The texture was interesting, but I’m on the fence with these.  I’ll have to try them again to make a decision one way or the other.

Chef’s Cut Original Real Steak Jerky:  Hello, happy!  I LOVE JERKY!!!  This jerky had a softer, chewy texture; like a good cut of steak.  The flavor was a nice balance of salty and sweet.  The picture above shows 1/2 the bag that I received.  This was definitely a tease.

YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans:  They’re all-natural jelly beans and they’ve got a kick of sour.  They went straight to my dad, who said they were really good.

Trujoy Sweets Organic Bunny Shaped Lollipop:  When I needed a bit of sweetness, this lollipop hit the spot.  I didn’t feel too guilty because it is all-natural and organic.
