My Morning Jacket are something of a conundrum in modern music. They’ve never really risen to being a larger than life rock band in a conventional sense a la some of their direct influences and predecessors, but they’re arguably the best live rock band around and they’ve been an integral piece in the ongoing evolution of Americana.
