Stitch Box Monthly July 2016 box

Stitch Box Monthly is a monthly fabric subscription box for sewing. Every month you’ll get two cuts of fabric plus sewing accessories and other goodies!

FYI – we have reposted this review because we added a finished project!
Oh my goodness, I got excited when I saw the name on the return address.  With a name “Stitch Box Monthly” what sewer wouldn’t get excited?  So I opened up the package which by the way isn’t actually a box but an envelope. That’s ok because the name just wouldn’t be right as “Stitch Envelope Monthly.”

Stitch Box Monthly July 2016 review

Everything in the July box! Anyhow, this was my first box/envelope and I loved the 4 items that came in it. Sometimes there is an information card, sometimes not!

Stitch Box Monthly July 2016 (1)

Scentless Handmaid Hand Creme ($9.56)  Included was a scentless Handmaid hand creme. My hands often become dry when I’m working with a lot of fabric so I keep lotion by the sewing machine.  This bottle is the perfect size to replace the bottle I just used up. Perfect.

Amann Mettler Metrosene White Thread ($2.50?) Also, the white thread is always needed in my sewing room, I do a lot of mending with white and black.

Maude Asbury Lolly Sweet Icing On Top White by Blend Fabrics ($9.99)
Did you see how cute the cupcake fabric is?

Stitch Box Monthly July 2016 (5)

Grunge Basics by BasicGrey for Moda Fabrics ($10.75) And the pink compliments it so nicely and now all I have to do is go through my stash of patterns to see what I want to make and for whom.

Loved this first box, can’t wait for the next one! This is a fun subscription for anyone who wants a fabric surprise – or who is too busy or cannot otherwise go to the fabric store!

My grandaughter & I decided to make a bag with the fabric!

It’s darling and turned out great. We used the coordinating pink grunge fabric for the strap and quilted the cupcake fabric for the body of the bag. We cut fringes into the edges of the purse and I inserted the zipper.IMG_1281
