Fresh Fiction Box Not To Miss is a monthly book subscription that sends 5-7 books for $25.95. Shipping is free in the US but they also ship worldwide. You can choose from a 1, 3, or 12 month plan and all plans autorenew or you can purchase a one-time box from their online shop. They send 2-3 new release print books, codes for 2-3 downloadable ebooks, a collectible item, and a sweet treat! Most of the books will be from the romance genre but they may occasionally send mystery, erotica, YA, and paranormal books too.

This box was pretty big! On top there was a collectible postcard featuring the Fresh Fiction foxy mascot, Vixen.

The books were snuggled in their shredded paper nest.

Everything in the box! I received 4 paperbacks, codes for 4 ebooks, a collectible pin and postcard, and a lollipop. One thing to keep in mind is that boxes may vary. On the Fresh Fiction website they state that for July, everyone will receive at least 3 out of 9 new summer-releases and everyone received the same 4 ebooks. Check out their page to see which 9 books are listed for July!

This is the flipside of the postcard.

Fresh Fiction sends a sweet treat and collectible keepsake in each box. I received a pin featuring Vixen and a Dum-Dum Lollipop. It says that a Ring Pop is the treat of the month but they must have had a change before shipping so they included an ingredient list which is helpful for those with food allergies.

First up are 4 downloadable ebooks:

Remember the Night by Nicole Leiren (99¢ for Kindle, $11.99 for paperback)

The Vintner and the Vixen by Alexia Adams ($2.99 for Kindle)

The Geek Gets the Girl by Michele Hauf (99¢ for Kindle)

Burn Down the Night by M. O’Keefe ($4.99 for Kindle, available August 9th)

These books have high ratings on Goodreads and Amazon! The first three were published this year; the fourth one is an advanced copy. Talk about fresh!

Now, on to the paperbacks!

Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst ($16 $11.55) This is the first of the new Billionaire Builders series.

Hot on the heels of her beloved Marriage to a Billionaire novels, New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst nails it with the first in an all-new sexy romance series featuring red-hot contractor siblings who give the Property Brothers a run for their money!

Ever the responsible eldest brother, Caleb Pierce started working for his father’s luxury contracting business at a young age, dreaming of one day sitting in the boss’s chair. But his father’s will throws a wrench in his plans by stipulating that Caleb share control of the family business with his two estranged brothers.

Things only get more complicated when demanding high-end home designer Morgan hires Caleb to build her a customized dream house that matches her specifications to a T—or she’ll use her powerful connections to poison the Pierce brothers’ reputation. Not one to ignore a challenge, Caleb vows to get the job done—if only he can stop getting distracted by his new client’s perfect…amenities.

But there’s more to icy Morgan than meets the eye. And Caleb’s not the only one who knows how to use a stud-finder. In fact, Morgan is pretty sure she’s found hers—and he looks quite enticing in a hard hat. As sparks fly between Morgan and Caleb despite his best intentions not to mix business and pleasure, will she finally warm up and help him lay the foundation for everlasting love?

The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler ($15.99 $9.51) A young man must figure out his family’s mysterious past in order to keep a deadly fate from happening to his sister.

As Simon, a lonely research librarian, searches frantically for the key to a curse that might be killing the women in his family, he learns strange and fascinating secrets about their past. A tale full of magic and family mystery, The Book of Speculation will keep you up all night reading.”—Isaac Fitzgerald, BuzzFeed

Simon Watson, a young librarian, lives alone in a house that is slowly crumbling toward the Long Island Sound. His parents are long dead. His mother, a circus mermaid who made her living by holding her breath, drowned in the very water his house overlooks. His younger sister, Enola, ran off six years ago and now reads tarot cards for a traveling carnival.

One June day, an old book arrives on Simon’s doorstep, sent by an antiquarian bookseller who purchased it on speculation. Fragile and water damaged, the book is a log from the owner of a traveling carnival in the 1700s, who reports strange and magical things, including the drowning death of a circus mermaid. Since then, generations of “mermaids” in Simon’s family have drowned–always on July 24, which is only weeks away.

As his friend Alice looks on with alarm, Simon becomes increasingly worried about his sister. Could there be a curse on Simon’s family? What does it have to do with the book, and can he get to the heart of the mystery in time to save Enola?

In the tradition of Sara Gruen’s Water for Elephants, Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus, and Elizabeth Kostova’s The Historian, The Book of Speculation–with two-color illustrations by the author–is Erika Swyler’s moving debut novel about the power of books, family, and magic.

The Billionaire Bachelor by Jessica Lemon ($5.99 $4.71) I used to dream I would grow up and marry a millionaire but apparently I aimed too low; a billionaire is the way to go nowadays. I better prep my girls to search out trillionaires when they get older.

Manwhore. That’s what the board of directors-and the tabloids-thinks of billionaire bachelor Reese Crane. Ordinarily he couldn’t care less, but his playboy past is preventing the board from naming him CEO of Crane Hotels. Nothing-and no one-will keep him from his life’s legacy. They want a settled man to lead the company? Then that’s exactly what he’ll give them.

Merina Van Heusen will do anything to get her parents’ funky boutique hotel back-even marry cold-as-ice-but-sexy-as-hell Reese Crane. It’s a simple business contract-six months of marriage, absolute secrecy, and the Van Heusen is all hers again. But when sparks fly between them, their passion quickly moves from the boardroom to the bedroom. And soon Merina is living her worst nightmare: falling in love with her husband . . .

Puppy Love for the Veterinarian by Amy Woods ($5.50 $4.12) This book is the 5th in a series that takes place in the fictional town of Peach Leaf, Texas, however, the books can be read in any order.

A New Leash On Love

When June Leavy finds two puppies abandoned outside during a storm, she immediately feels a bond with the adorable animals. Swindled out of her life savings by her no-good ex, she, too, was left with nothing but heartache and struggles of her own. But when she arrives at the local veterinary clinic, June is met by dangerously handsome Dr. Ethan Singh, whose sexy smile threatens to disarm her hard-won emotional strength.

Back in Peach Leaf, Texas, to recover from an ugly breakup, Ethan gently tends to the puppies and their charming caretaker. But as the storm rages, so does the electric attraction between Ethan and June. Is this real, or a cruel phantom of lost love? Stranded alone at the clinic, only one thing is certain: they’ve got all night to figure it out…

Look at this loot. I love this box! Almost all of the books were published not only this year but in some cases last month. They all had great ratings on Amazon and Goodreads. I posted the list price first but then posted the current selling price on Amazon and using those sale prices my box was worth $40 (not including the pin and lollipop). Most of the books were romance novels as promised plus one women’s contemporary novel. I appreciate the fact that I now have several different books to choose from this month. My favorite types of books are historical fiction romances so hopefully one of those will show up eventually.

I’ve been subscribing for a year and I’d say I have gotten a historical romance about once every 3 months.
