My Purrfect Gift Box Subscription Review – May 2016

My Purrfect Gift Box is UK’s only style box for people who love cats!  It’s the box for people passionate about their cats, and are not afraid to show it. Each month includes a cat-tastic theme that showcases global cat-loving artists.  A portion of the box subscription price supports UK cat charities, rescue centres, and animal shelters. There are two different sizes – Lite and Standard and four options – with gifts for Kitty and without.  Gifts for kitty can be treats, toys, food items, accessories and more! The Lite Box starts at  £15.95 and includes 2-3 full-size items a month. The Lite Box with Gifts for Kitties starts at £22.95 . The Standard size starts at  £20.95 and includes 3-5 full-size items a month. The Standard Size plus Gifts for Kitty starts at £27.95. I was excited to see the May box! My Purrfect Gift Box is beautifully wrapped with a ribbon and a tag. I feel like I am opening a present!

The items are wrapped in purple tissue paper and a white bow with an adorable cat tag. I love the tag. It is something about the cat and the heart that makes it work for me.

Purple squiggles are my favorite. Everything arrived intact all the way from the Isle of Man.

The May theme is Spring into Style. The cats are showing off their best fashions. Little Lamb would look dapper in a bowtie.

The information card lists a description, price, and denotes which items were included in the Lite, Standard, and Gifts for Kitty Options. I like it when the information card shows all options available because it can be hard to find reviews for each option! There’s no wondering with this information card.

Everything was wrapped up and secured in its journey across the pond.

Here are the items for the My Purrfect Gift Box May edition. It looks meowvelous!

The Pink Wallet (appx $24.99) is an adorable wallet with stylish cats stitched on it. I based the price off of this wallet which is similar in design. It has six card holders on each side. It measures 8″ x 4″ and my Samsung S4 cellphone fits in the middle compartment. It’s very cute. I love the pink and black colors together. The Pink Wallet is in the Lite and Standard Boxes.

The Grey Scarf with Gold Foil Cats (£8.33, appx. $12.00) is a beautiful scarf purrfect for those summer nights that have a chill. It also works well as a wrap and is lightweight. It has a feathered edge. No tassels! I’m in love with it. It is available in the Lite and Standard Boxes.

Yummy! The Quirky The Chocolate Library You’re Purrfect Chocolate Bar (£5.95, appx.  $8.64) is a creamy 35% milk chocolate bar. The Chocolate bar is handmade in the UK with fine Belgian Chocolate. Everyone in the family tried it and found it to be smooth, creamy, and delicious. We were also excited to see a James Harriot Quote. We have the James Herriot Treasury of Inspirational Stories, which is beautifully illustrated along with most of his books included the classic All Creatures Great and Small. The chocolate bar is in the Lite and Standard boxes.

The four  Cat Fabric Buttons (appx $5.00) are a fun way to liven up an outfit and show your love for cats. My favorite button is the smiling kitty button. I based the price on similar items offered by The Heyday Shop. The buttons are in the Standard Box only.

The Retro Cat Necklace (appx $10.00-$15.00 retail) is a fun necklace with an extender. The flowers are adorable making it a splendid choice to wear while enjoying a getaway. I will be wearing my necklace soon! The necklace is in the Standard Box only.

My sister is wearing the necklace at its shortest length. She likes both items a lot. I may need to check her suitcase before she leaves!

The Exclusive Bespoke Collar by Lovely Luna Crafts (appx $5.22) is a handmade collar that has the My Purrfect Giftbox colors on it. It also has a bell and kitty charm. It is a lightweight collar that did not irritate the three cats that tried out the collar. Bramble will be modeling the collar because he is a short hair cat. Sylvester and Whiskers also tried it on, but the camera had a hard time capturing the collar in the picture because they are medium/long haired cats.

Tillypop’s is run by a woman and her family to help raise awareness for Vasculitis UK.  The Tillypop’s Twitter seems to be where most of the selling occurs. J, age 7, feels this is the perfect blanket (appx. $10.00-$15.00 based on Etsy prices)  for Puss in Boots. The kitties loved the blanket.

The cats loved the Pet Munchies Gourmet Beef Liver Treats (10 g, £0.97, appx $1.41). The freeze-dried liver treats are made in the UK.

The My Purrfect Gift Box felt like a gift from one catlover to another catlover. It was a joy to unwrap the beautiful box and seeing the items.  The Spring into Style was a clever theme with the purrfect accessories to show your cat love.  It’s hard to pick a favorite item in the May box because all the items are wonderful in their own ways.  My sister thought the entire box was amazing. It was nice to receive a chocolate bar although I can’t believe it did not melt. I love that My Purrfect Gift Box showcases Etsy artisans and small companies. I hope they continued the trend. The approximate $40.00 box plus shipping has an estimated $70.00 to $80.00 value. There is also the value of having items included that are not found in the USA. I greatly enjoyed the box and will use everything in it. It’s the purrfect choice for people that are passionate about their meowvolous cats!
