Pearlesque Box July 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Pearlesque Box is a monthly subscription box that features skincare products from around the world that are all non-toxic and natural – with a new destination each month! The Pearlesque Box theme for July is Happy Birthday America. JIYA is made in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. , and is a great selection for this month.

I fell in love with Kumari Beauty, now JIYA,  last year thanks to subscription boxes and couldn’t wait to use the products again. I received the full-size hair oil before, a travel size sample of the aroma mist in a different scent, and a travel size sample of the bath oil in the same scent, all from subscription boxes. I have high expectations of July’s Pearlesque box!

I can’t wait to try everything out. When did Kumari Beauty become JIYA? I am sure I am not the only natural beauty enthusiast that is wondering. I poked around their website and social media to see what I could find it. On May 24th, 2016 they announced the name changed from Kumari Beauty to JIYA.  The formula and philosophy are still the same behind the beauty product line. I could not find out the reason behind the name change.

Pardon us while we make an outfit change! As you may know, Jiya Beauty is the reincarnation of Kumari Luxury. Your order may feature Kumari Luxury packaging, but the design, formulation and philosophy are exactly the same.

It does say on the JIYA website that you may still receive Kumari Beauty labeled products in your order. The formulas have not changed.

I fell in love with JIYA Luxury Hair Oil (4 oz, $38.00) when I received it in a one-time special edition box last year. The luxury hair oil is a pre-shampoo deep conditioning treatment. The lightweight hair oil treatment is suitable for all hair types. Once a week, apply the oil to dry hair either the night before or no less than 30 minutes before washing your hair.  Wash and style your hair as normal.  It has organic coconut oil, organic argan oil, sandalwood and other amazing ingredients. The scent is hard to describe. It’s sightly woodsy with a light argan scent. The 4-ounce bottle lasted me three months using it once a week when I used it last year. I have long, thick hair. My hair took a beating during our vacation from being out in the sun and using low pressure, hard water with a high amount of sulfur in it. I took two other pictures of the back of my hair when I came back from vacation that can be viewed here and here. I took all three pictures in the same week with the Pearlesque Box picture being the last picture at the end of the week. My hair still feels soft a few days later. I used ZERO styling products in this picture on a day with high humidity. That means I did not use my No-Frizz Oil. It does have a slight argan scent to it. My hair looks and feels better. I still plan to make a hair appointment soon to have my layers put back in along with a few inches cut off. I also need to freshen up my color! Still, it looks much better than it did in the other photos I took last week. I’m impressed with the low level frizz because my hair frizzes easily in this type of weather.

The JIYA River Bath & Body Oil (2 oz, $34.00) feels luxurious on my skin. It has organic chamomile and organic olive oil in it making it excellent for calming irritated skin. My skin feels softer after using it. It is best used when your skin is still damp from showering or bathing. It can also be used as a bath oil by adding 3-5 droppers into the bath. The blend of lavender and mint brings contentment. The notes that I could smell were lavender, mint, and rosemary. It also has essential oils of lemon, geranium, and frankincense in it. I did not think it smelled strong on my skin

The JIYA River Aroma Mist (2 oz, $24.00) can be sprayed on the body, hair, linens, in the air or even in the shower. It has a gentle mint and lavender scent that brightens up your day. Be sure to shake it before spraying. Feel content, intelligent, and relaxed. I’ve been using it and feel peaceful. I love when mists are included because they can be used in a various of ways.

I was ecstatic when I found out  JIVA was the featured July brand. I recognized the Kumari label right away and remembered how much I loved their products. JIYA is cruelty free and most of the ingredients are certified organic. It’s wonderful to see one of my favorite luxury natural beauty brands in Pearlesque.  I am seriously thinking about purchasing a second box because I love everything in the box.  There are three full-size items this month. The value of the box is $96.00 which is outstanding! Pearlesque has done an excellent job in rotating the type of products included so that you do not end up with a drawer of cleansers.
