Monthly Magic is a monthly unofficial Disney-themed subscription box. They offer snacks, and fun souvenirs from Disney Theme Parks for $59.98 per month! Each box comes with 2-8 items from Disneylands from around the world, so you can still enjoy the magic of Disney even you’re far away from the park! Monthly Magic also offers a monthly pin, snack, and mug subscription.
The items in this month’s box came from Tokyo Disney Resort.
It looks a little bit messy, but I like that the items are secured properly in wraps.
Everything in my June Monthly Magic box.
The box came with guide maps, as well as entertainment and information cards from Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea.
These came in Japanese and show the Disney Easter Celebration.
My kids were totally fascinated with the park map! (in English).
Tokyo Disneyland 33rd Anniversary Postcard (¥200, roughly $1.84) This is ridiculously cute! Disney frontier theming is always so adorable. At Tokyo Disneyland it’s called “Westernland,” which makes sense!
Looking at the postcard made me wonder what Asian cultures even think of this! I guess it’s as cute and hokey as it is to us!
Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Spoons? I’m not sure what these are for, they are very tiny!
Little Mickey heads adorn the top!
Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary “The Year of Wishes” Pin (¥1500, roughly $13.76): This pin is gorgeous and I find it hard to believe the price on it! This pin would cost twice that in the US. It looks like the prices of the pins internationally are much more reasonable – I’m going to have to hunt down some more! It’s just an adorable nautical theme.
Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary Candy: A cute little tin with Goofy on the front. It says: A wish for energy becomes a green crystal.
There are 3 little candies inside and the top of the tin is imprinted with 15th Anniversary.
Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary Choco Cream Cookie (¥1500, roughly $8.72) A cute little collectors tin of cookies!
It’s decorated all-around with favorite characters, including Anna and Elsa – I guess FROZEN fever is universal!
Lots of cookies packed inside!
The cookies had different designs on the wrappers (there were more than 6 cookies).
This cream was really dark and rich – it was almost like a chocolate lozenge was baked inside.
Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary Mug ($15?) Finally – a beautiful mug in the same theme as the tin!
It will be perfect to store my daughter’s art pencils in!
As you can tell, lots of magic (aka packing material) was left over. One thing I’d suggest for this box is to cut down on the size of the box itself – the shipping ($17.64 to me) is astronomical and it would help if they used a smaller box and volume-based shipping. Another thing I’d like to see is an information card describing things like the fact that Frontierland is called Westernland, etc. A cute travelogue booklet would be a really great addition here.
This was a fun box, but I do have to point out that it appears not all the boxes are the same.
Maybe the chopsticks are add-ons?

The tin here is different and there’s no mug.
I’m hoping to find out more about these variations. In the meantime, I will say that we enjoyed this box! Although it’s very expensive the box owners do go to the different parks all around the world and find new and unique items to put in the box. I did wish for Duffy & Shellie Mae items or something more unique to the Tokyo resorts besides Anniversary merchandise but the items they selected were pretty solid and sure to be enjoyed by hardcore Disney fans subscribing to this box!
