Kloverbox is a fun and unique natural and organic beauty and lifestyle subscription box delivering the purest in beauty, nutrition, health, and home essentials.
There must be small items hidden in the squiggles!
The May theme is Let’s Go On An Adventure! The squiggles match the information card which is a nice touch if it was in the box. The information card contains details about the products, websites, and provides discount codes.
Kloverbox opted to ship the boxes without the information cards because of a printing mishap. The May information card was sent via email.
The adventure is in unboxing the May box. I was a bit surprised by the May box.
I am excited about the eSCENTials Aroma Don’t Bug Me All Natural Insect Repellent (4 oz, $15.00) which is created by a Certified Aromatherapist and Certified Natural Health Consultant. I live in a heavily deer populated area where the deer walk through the neighborhood depositing deer ticks wherever they go.The insect repellent should keep away mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, flies and more. Shake and spray. The citronella scent is strongest during the first minute after spraying. Then the scent mellows out into more of a light lemon scent. I will be giving it a try to see if it works for my needs!
Zoe Organics is a brand that my family uses and is easily found at Target. We received the Zoe Organics Breathe Balm (.6 oz, $14.00) in the one-time September 2015 edition Kloverbox Kids Back to School Box. J, age 7, and I used it over the winter. I rubbed the Breathe Balm on me today because my allergies are bothering me. The scent is mostly eucalyptus tempered by lavender and cedarwood.
At this point the box makes sense. The two items are excellent items for a Lets Go On An Adventure! Theme. Then I arrive at the last two items.
I don’t think there is a middle ground when it comes to Harvey Prince Organics. Either you love or hate Harvey Prince. The Harvey Prince Deluxe Hello Shampoo and Conditioner Sampler Set ( 15 ml each, $5.00 for the sampler set) set off a Pavlov reaction of me wanting to review them for Birchbox points because they are the same size that Birchbox sends out in their monthly boxes. The products are vegan-friendly, sulfate-free, paraben-free and safe for color hair. I like the Hello scent and will use the shampoo and conditioner despite it not being enough for a one time use due to the length of my hair.
However, I think this is the first time I received 2 sample items in my Kloverbox. I liked to imagine that Harvey Prince arrived in his unicorn drawn carriage to rescue Kloverbox from product that either was arriving late or not at all.
It was disappointing to open the box and to see two Birchbox size samples and no curation card. It did not leave a good impression. I’ve been with Kloverbox since nearly the beginning of the subscription and watched the box grow. I do hope Kloverbox resolves its possible (I am speculating) logistical issues and start producing the boxes that make people excited to be subscribed. I am excited about the eSCENTIals Insect Repellant and Breathe Balm. Both will be used by the family over the summer.

I used to really enjoy Kloverbox, but this is my last box. I canceled last month (6 month subscription that didn’t end until this month), and this box just confirms I made the right decision. It was even missing one of the products (the conditioner). If they get it together for a few months I’d subscribe again, but the continual downward spiral suggests they’re not going to be at it for much longer.
This month was a huge bust…. no info card, my box didn’t have any packing materials at all, AND I didn’t receive the bug spray. I’ve emailed them but have yet to receive any resolution. For the $25 price tag, this was a pitiful showing this month.
This box was worse than last months. I wonder if they are going out of business? Customer service is also bad.
