White Willow Box is a Canadian subscription box featuring lifestyle items that are thoughtfully curated and selected. Boxes ship in the beginning of the month from Vancouver.

First look! The information card always features a pretty print.

It folds out to reveal the contents, details, and suggested retail prices. I’ve used the retail prices online (and converted to Canadian as well) for this review.

Cherrypick Classic Double Pearl Earrings ($18 USD/$23 CAD) These are so pretty, and this trend is one I’ve seen a lot with the two sizes of stud. I don’t have pierced ears, so these will be gifted. Cherrypick’s website is addicting, and features every colour of the rainbow for these adorable earrings.

NextJen Gluten Free Vanilla Bean Cake Mix ($8) I’ve mentioned before that I’m sensitive to gluten, so I was so excited to see this! It’s also dairy free.

Harney & Sons Earl Grey Imperial Tea ($6) And I’ve probably mentioned that I’m a tea-drinker, too. These tea bags are high-quality and the tea is excellent quality. This tin contains 5 tea bags.

Consonant Skincare Natural Foaming Face Wash ($22 CAD) Wow, this is full size! The reviews are excellent and it’s unscented for sensitive skin like mine.  It cleanses as well as removes makeup, and it’s pH balanced to remove the need for toner!

D&L Co Votive Candle in Honey Absolute ($24 CAD) I got lost on D&L Co’s website — their candles are absolutely beautiful! Two scents of this candle were sent out, and I love the one I received. The holder is beautiful, too, and totally my style.

NextJen included a recipe featuring the vanilla cake mix as well as the earl grey tea! I was feeling ambitious, so I actually did some baking this morning.

IMG_2472

Tada! I managed not to burn it. The tea was a nice addition to the vanilla cake, which as with most gluten-free baking, is quite a bit more dense than normal cake. The blueberries on top were the perfect touch!

April’s box was great! I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t wear the jewelry, but everything else was a great mix of functional and fun. I’m especially excited to try the facial cleanser, as I just finished up the last of my Boscia face wash and my skin needs some TLC.

The total value of this box is about $83CAD, about $64 USD. This is pretty impressive, even if you’re having it shipped to the US (the monthly cost of the box after paying the shipping fee to the US is about $43).

I know, I always get excited when GF items pop up in boxes that aren’t necessarily aimed towards GF! They could have just as easily included a regular artisan cake mix but they didn’t, and that’s awesome! (Also, NextJen is Canadian, so also very cool).
