Hey! I’m a little confused by this page! Is this a page of subscription box ideas?? Because I’m in love with the 80s retro box and other eras. Is that something that actually existed? If it did or didn’t. I’m super interested in that idea.

Oh that’s super old. Yes it was a list of ideas, and about a year after that, there was even an official Shopkins box (now closed down). Back FIVE years ago we referenced our 2000+ box directory. It now hovers around 6000 subscriptions! New ones are added all the time (and of course we say goodbye to plenty too). Thanks for this blast from the past! I don’t think any 80s subscription boxes are operating today, it’s possible you could find something you like here: https://boxes.hellosubscription.com/subscriptions/retro-subscription-boxes/ -Brandy

I was surprised when I started reading subscription boxes that don’t exist. It was not what I expected at all. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them all. Can’t pick a favorite but the grandkids would love the bubble wrap and empty boxes.

did you think we’d be totally serious on april fool’s? it actually started with me realizing there wasn’t an SCA box (which is weird, because there’s a LOT of people that are into it and it would make a great subscription). then i realized that april fool’s was the next day and would make a fun post!

or were we TOO serious? 🙂

I always wanted a vegetarian snack box. Not vegan. I want eggs, honey, and cheese in the snacks. But no meat or gelatin.

Or, at the very least, vegetarian meal prep with NO MUSHROOMS. Ever.

Haha, I love the Empty Box Subscription Box! Seriously, I don’t know why I buy my kid toys when he’s perfectly happy with a box. The other day I put him in an empty cardboard box with a set of markers and he just colored to his heart’s content. And I didn’t have to worry about him coloring on walls or furniture because he was stuck in the box!

This was pretty fun to read, thanks! I read your blog all the time, but I’m not much of a commenter.
