The POPSUGAR Resort Special Edition Box was a one-time box offered by POPSUGAR filled with an assortment of items perfect for resort season curated by the editors of POPSUGAR! If you’re unfamiliar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is a monthly women’s subscription box. You’ll receive items from a mix of categories like beauty, home, accessories, jewelry, etc. It’s one of the most popular subscription boxes around!
I love the packaging for this box – each item is wrapped individually in tissue, so it’s really a special present just for you!
This box was designed to elevate my next getaway, whether an actual vacation or a backyard escape. I’m planning neither this weekend, but still will enjoy the intentions of this box!
The fold-out information card has the details on each item!
7 items in this box. This box was $100, so less than $14.25 per item – not shabby!
Nearly everything in this box comes in re-giftable form with nice outer packaging (and that’s true of all Special Edition POPSUGAR boxes!).
MAKE Beauty Custom Finish Effects Matte Dew ($27) This was a super unique item! I attempted to make a swatch for you, but the effects are not really photo – obvious. The peach is a mattifying gel to apply on your skin (with or without makeup) to reduce shine. The pink is a slick gloss to add a dewy glow! This is a very neat product and I don’t own anything like it!
Kara’s Cupcakes Artisan Handmade Toasted Coconut Marshmallows ($12) These are some serious marshmallows! The toasted coconut is supposed to get you in the mood for warmer weather.
The flavor wasn’t really my fave (my husband will eat the bag for me no prob) but the whole thing reminded me of eating German Chocolate Cake! Also not vegan.
Rifle Paper Co. Passport Pocket Notebook Set ($10) For taking notes and recording memories on your vacation. Who doesn’t love Rifle Paper notebooks?
The usual creamy paper and the Rifle Paper Co monogram on the back!
Tai Evil-Eyes Pom-Pom Bracelet ($95) Beaded with hematite with little charms and pom-poms! I love a good pom-pom (much more than a tassel)! The colors are really pretty and watery – a lot less obviously resort than the turquoise-focused jewelry in past Resort Boxes.
I’m not sure how I feel about the pom-poms while actually wearing it, but I loved the details and the faceted beads. Although this is “just” a string bracelet (which I admit I closed and opened by pulling on the end beads with my teeth), the quality of the workmanship is very high.
I think this bracelet needs stacked with another one to really work for me, but I like it overall.
Mela Artisans Congo in Indigo Photo Frame ($50) A gorgeous bone mosaic frame (no, it’s not vegan). Everything is hand-inlaid and perfect. The colors carried over the colors of the bracelet. I guess Resort season is blue this year!
I had a bit of difficulty getting a picture of this, but it has a nice little logo on the back. I thought it was a nice finishing touch.
Goorin Bros. Fatima Hat ($46) My POPSUGAR hat from a few years ago is probably my favorite box item ever, so I was really pleased to see another hat. This one is a packable fedora in a nice caramel color with a leather band (also not vegan).
I couldn’t take a photo of the hat that didn’t make it look round and tall – it’s a little more shapely than this, although not nearly floppy enough for my tastes. It reminds me a lot more of my husband’s hat than any of my hats.
The interior has a nice little sweatband, and this hat totally fits my giant oversized head (hope it’s not too big for your head!). Overall I liked this hat less than I thought I would but I’ll wear it.
Indie Lee Coconut Citrus Body Scrub ($38) It’s no Goldfaden MD (really PSMH, I would be totally ok with a repeat of that item!). This scrub may be HARD when you get it if your box has been in the cold because it’s coconut oil based (and all natural!). It has a great scent, is softening, and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and smooth. I tried it out and I loved it!
DuJour Magazine Gift Subscription ($31.96) “Stay up to date on the latest high-end style, culture, and beauty happenings.”
This was a good resort box, but perhaps not great or really wow. I thought it was perhaps a little more useful than past boxes (and it seems like POPSUGAR really went with the useful theme for March in general, although I enjoyed this box much more than that one – or maybe I’m just being cranky today). The total value was $278, not including the magazine. I love the items for the price paid, and I’m pretty happy with the box, as well as the interpretation of the theme. What do you think?
Also, just a note, if you’re vegan, you probably shouldn’t purchase PSMH Special Edition boxes. 3 items in the box were made with animal products.

Please tell me more about how you opened and closed the bracelet because I can’t figure it out. All I know is the bracelet as received won’t fit over my hand and I don’t have overly huge hands. And thanks for mentioning the non vegan items, as a vegan I appreciate getting that kind of information. So I know what to re-gift 🙂
Hold that part in the center of the back of the bracelet – the part that is like a bar made of thread. Then you pull the beads. I may be able to provide better instructions when I am home! It definitely adjusts! I am super glad it was helpful!
I LOVE my box. I Just got it yesterday and there isn’t anything that I don’t like. I purchased it on the 1 day pre-sale on a whim, and after looking at previous resort box was VERY skeptical and was wondering if I had made a mistake. But when this came I was so happy. I will use and really like everything in the box.
Yay!! Also noted on my end: marshmallows disappeared in about 3 hours.
This box is not for me… But I didn’t order it so that’s okay.
