Happy Rebel Box is a quarterly subscription box for the modern woman that prefers to express herself through alternative fashion choices. It’s a collection of polished, yet also edgy statement pieces from up-and-coming new designers, as well as well-known brands. Boxes will include distinctive hand-picked accessories, jewelry, household items, and more.
The box includes a fold-out information card that explains all the product details, as well as the charitable causes of Happy Rebel.
Happy Rebel promises to donate 10% of their profit to non-profit organizations benefiting girls and women around the world.
Every box comes with a seasonal theme, and this Spring, the theme is “Girls Night Out.” All the details about each item is provided, as well as its retail value.
The packing for the box reminded me of Rachel Zoe Box of Style and special edition boxes!
The items are all neatly wrapped in black tissue paper. Fun to unwrap!

Deux Lux Croc Embossed Vegan Clutch ($58) Even the clutch that’s included in this box is well-protected in a cute storage bag.
Deux Lux is well known for producing fashionable synthetic (vegan) leather pieces. They’re high quality and a really great choice for this box!
I loved the design of this clutch! The cool and black color choice was perfect, as was the reptile-skin embossing and the center design that looks like vertebrae! It has a touch of metallic accents that’s perfect.

Lindt Extra Dark Lindor Truffle (Bonus!) Dark & Delicious!
Essie Cashmere Matte “Spun in Luxe” Nail Polish ($8) This is some seriously dark blue polish! Dark enough to qualify in my inner 15 year old’s “my nail must be as black as my soul” requirements but still somehow perfect for every day wear with the right amount of blue (and the cashmere matte finish, which isn’t totally matte but turns out not entirely shiny).
The blue-black nail polish is perfect for any girl’s night out and match the clutch really well!
Arbotique Designs Sterling Silver Midi Rings ($12) These rings can be worn individually or in stacks. They’re pretty and well made but I would probably just wear them on my pinky. This artisan uses recycled silver for her pieces!
EyLure Lashes Texture No. 154 ($8) To me these eyelashes scream burlesque. Like something retro and pin-up-y! They’re fun! The adhesive is included and they’re reusable. I’ll give them a try, but they’re pretty wild!
Marlyn Schiff Chunky Chain Statement Necklace ($78) This is basically the grown up version of my silver dog collar, which I keep in my souvenir box (ahhh 15!). I like how it provides that look/idea while still passing as normal. It’s a piece that’s pretty versatile and one of my favorite ways to wear a necklace like this is with one of my geeky subscription box shirts!
I think this box is good for someone who embraces edgy fashion with an open mind and isn’t particularly married to a specific look or style – it’s definitely an “I’m not 15 anymore but I still like to preserve elements of that style” box vs a full-on goth/punk/whatever other niche group you can think of look box. More of an edgy city chic where you can incorporate the items into your own look and style. I thought it was a great curatorial decision to stick with silver for this box and I thought the mature elements of macabre in the clutch probably satisfied most subscribers! I’m definitely hoping for an improved value on the Summer box. While the total value of the items are almost $165, which is definitely not bad for a newcomer like Happy Rebel, I’d like to see this box pack a bigger punch for a $100 price tag! It was still super fun and I’m personally in love with the clutch!

I don’t NEED any of these items (I have so many clutches, so much jewelry and plenty of nail polish that I rarely wear) but I really LIKE all of them! It’s probably because I like these types of things that I have to many of them already… so it makes we WANT the box but at the same time I won’t actually buy the box.
