Pet Treater is a monthly subscription that provides high-quality treats and toys for your beloved canine. When you use the code provided below, the first box ships with a complimentary dog bed, which you can see in our first review!
Our box came with a personalized letter to our puppy. (well, someone’s puppy – there was a mixup this month between two bloggers!)
Written from a dog’s perspective, the letter describes the love a pet feels when he finds his forever family. It also reminds subscribers that every box purchased results in a toy, bed, or blanket being donated to a shelter pup.
The theme for February is Love is a Four-Legged Word! Next month is You Lucky Dog — the themes appear to track the holidays.
All the goodies in the box. Instead of many tiny treat samples, the box had two big bags of treats, plus a parsley biscuit pack. There was lots of other good stuff, too!
Romeo or Juliet Scarf: Since this didn’t come with our pet’s name, I assume the choice of Juliet is not an accident, and that boy dogs probably get a Romeo scarf.
HuggleHounds Fur Ever squeaker: A cute, seasonally-appropriate squeaker with a soft corduroy exterior.
HuggleHounds Ruff-Tex : A durable, textured chew toy with a great squeaker!
Carolina Dog Co Parsley Hearts: we knew Lindy would love this as soon as we saw it!
This grain-free biscuit is packed full with breath freshening parsley and dogs love the taste! She was really excited about this Valentine!
This guy has a textured surface that is appealing to dogs, and I believe it also helps clean teeth to have textured toys. The exact shape is not clear — I think it is supposed to be a pony or donkey.
Nature’s Recipe Oven Baked Biscuits: Made with real lamb, these corn free snacks are full of good stuff instead of fillers. These are a good treat size, as they are thick and cookie-sized — anything smaller, and my dog will complain.
ASPCA Collection Fleece Pet Throw: Dogs need cuddly blankets, too — especially in the winter months. This soft fleece blanket is, perhaps most important, machine-washable.
Hugglehounds Furry Monster: This super-furry guy has long, purple hair and is super soft. He reminds me of the two horned monsters on Sesame Street.
He even has little soles on his feet! I think it’s the only surface not covered in fur besides the heart on his butt! It’s made with an extra tough liner (and of course – a squeaker!).
Pur Luv Mini Sizzlin’ Strips: Flavored like chicken and sweet potatoes, these chewy strips look like they should be bacon-flavored. They have a very chewy, but not leathery, texture. Lindy loves these (she’s a sucker for sweet potato)!
Life’s Little Instruction Book’s Wise Dogs: Every Pet Treater comes with a gift for your dog’s human!
Written a bit like a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, this tome pairs little life lessons with adorable dog pictures.
Pet Treater has been a great pet subscription. The treats come in big portions, and they are always fresh and made in the US varieties. The toys are fun, and there is always a good amount of cute stuff in each box — including something for you too!
