February 2016 Orange Glad Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Orange Glad is an gourmet dessert subscription box featuring items from independent bakeries from all across the country. They gather all the desserts and ship them right to you to enjoy. It’s an incredible way to get a sampling of items from gourmet bakers all across the nation.  

Life most certainly got sweeter! I was excited to see Orange Glad at my door. I’ve been curious about the subscription for a long time.

The information card provides details on each treat plus ingredient and allergen information, and the best by date.

Five yummy treats are waiting for us! It’s hard to decide where to start first.

February looks delicious. I noticed chocolate along with a savory snack. Where to start first?

The La Petite Occasion Chocolate Orange Grand Marnier Caramels did not last long. La Petite Occasion is made with local ingredients! The dark chocolate caramels are smooth with a light orange taste. The caramels are soft and not chewy. It practically melted in our mouths.  We were sad when we emptied the bag!

The Red Velvet Caramel and Salted Pretzel Caramel by Poisoned Apples were next. The shop owner began by making spooky caramel apples and branched into creative caramels.

My husband and I both tried half of each caramel. We agreed that they were rich! The salted pretzel caramel was a wonderful blend of salt and buttery caramel on top of a delicious buttery shortbread. The Red Velvet Caramel was a delightful blend of red velvet caramel on top of deliciously rich shortbread.  Both caramels were dipped in chocolate creating a wondrous chocolate coating.

The Theo Hazelnut Crunch Chocolate Bar contains 45% organic cacao. It’s a smooth chocolate with crunchy hazelnut and a pinch of salt. My husband loved the bar. He said it was a great combination of milk chocolate and hazelnut. We are fans of Theo Chocolate and are happy to see it in Orange Glad.

The Hard Crack Original Toffee Cookies are begging to be served with tea. It has the perfect crispiness for tea dunking. My husband and I tried it as a cookie. It is crunchy, buttery, and sweet with a delicious toffee taste. I then paired it with Uniekaas Robusto Cheese, an aged Gouda. The taste was incredible. All the flavors were blending together into a symphony of deliciousness.

The Two Moon Rosemary & Sea Salt Shortbread is an intense experience. Sweet, savory, and salty are all wrapped in the shortbread. It was a little too salty for me. My husband thought it tasted great. We have one cookie left and will pair it with cheese as suggested.

Trying my first Orange Glad box was exciting! My husband and I enjoyed taking a little time for ourselves by indulging in the delicious treats. It was fun to try out the different desserts and combinations of flavor. The treats left us satisfied and could easily be spread out over a few weeks. We loved discovering yummy confections that were pleasing to our stomachs.
