Yogi Surprise, in addition to its regular monthly lifestyle box, has a jewelry+treat only subscription box. Every month you’ll get 2 handmade yoga-inspired jewelry piece and 1 superfood or organic chocolate treat. Yogi Surprise Jewelry is fairtrade, sustainably harvested, nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free, made in Bali, Indonesia, and 10% of all proceeds are given to further education for the Balinese families who handmake the jewelry pieces.

This month’s jewelry was inspired by the theme “Intention Inspired.”  With the advent of the new year, it’s a time to set intentions.  The handcrafted jewelry pieces can be worn as reminders to be alive in a way that opens yourself to your fullest potential and deepest aspirations.

The information card explains the selections.

All the items in the box. The jewelry comes in little cloth drawstring bags.  i love those bags.  They can be used to store the jewelry or for coins or even for your headphones in your bag.

Amethyst Lotus Flower Necklace ($45).   Amethyst s known for its meditative and calming qualities and can inspire balance, patience, and peace.  It can increase spirituality and enhance intuition and psychic powers of all kinds.

Turqoise and Lotus Flower Bracelet ($35).  This bracelet is made with natural Turquoise Gemstones combined with gold beads and antiquated gold lotus flower charm.  Turquoise is known for its healing properties that fuel inspiration, creativity and artistic expression.  The Lotus flower is a symbol of beauty and non-attachment.   I love this item.  I’ve been wearing it everyday and also during my yoga practice.

peppermint

Madecasse Peppermint Bar ($6).  This delicious vegan peppermint bar includes 63% Madagascar dark chocolate with mint and a touch of nutmeg.  It is fitting for the season.  And, it’s vegan.  What’s also really cool  is that Madecasse was founded by Peace Corps volunteers and 90% of the chocolate is made from start to finish in Madagascar.  The company set out to change the fact that even though 70% of the world’s cocoa comes from Africa, less than 1% of the world’s chocolate is actually made there.

This is a well themed box with the Amethyst and Turquoise choices and the chocolate is certainly appropriate for the season.  The total cost for the items is $86.

Love that necklace! Purple is my fave and I’ve always wanted psychic powers. 😉

Dark chocolate and peppermint – yum! Did you family fight over it or share?
