Julep Maven December 2015 Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupons!

This subscription is very neat because it’s customizable – swap out products and colors from a set box and choose from Julep’s best sellers, or choose a pre-curated box. I always prepay for 3 months – I save $5 per month that way!  If you’re not a subscriber, you can get a free welcome box for free, just pay $2.99 shipping. I ordered quite a few add-on products this month – but these were my actual box items. I customize my box each month and it makes me super happy to get exactly what I want.

Beatrice is a Golden ember iridescent chrome and I’ve been wearing it on my nails all day! It seems from the bottle it would be really loud but it’s glittery and sparkly in a regular wear sort of way!

I tried out It’s Whipped – Julep’s new matte lip mousse – last month and I was totally floored by it. Beauty products have a lot of hype but this lip product has amazing staying power – even through eating and drinking without wearing or flaking off. I was just totally impressed and I have no idea how they did it and I want all the colors now! This one is “Pucker Up” and described as violet verve. Despite the odd color I look fantastic in this shade so I’m super pleased with my selection!

Dial Up Your Glam – Luna: This shadow was formerly called Orbital! I selected it in Luna, White Gold with Gold Pearlescence. I guess it matches my Luna top coat?! It’s a great wearable color and is a creamy powder that applies extremely well!

And all of my add-ons! I went a little crazy. I had to get Brandy because I’m collecting as many botltles as possible, and I picked up Hallie, a liquid holo that was in the July 2015 Mystery Box, and then I selected the “Chilled Bubbly” set, with Judy and Elsa, plus my freebie polish. Elsa was a must for a stocking stuffer for my 7 year old daughter and I find that I can really load up with those duo sets as add ons. Judy is Moonbeam iridescent chrome. Elsa is a snowdrift iridescent stardust finish polish.

Break out the champagne!

I was totally thrilled with my box this month, although I’m feeling some severe longings for Brooklyn (the ruby red microglitter) that I didn’t pick up (I should’ve picked that over the July polish!). That one was back from the vault but I’m certain that I don’t have it – I’ll have to grab it before it goes away again.
