Powered Geek Box is a monthly subscription with geek, gamer, and pop culture collectibles and gear. Get an epic box every month with a “Christmas morning, gift opening experience,” 12 times a year! You can choose the premium box (6-9 items) or the deluxe box (4-6 items) and both boxes include a shirt in your opening experience.
FYI I have heard from readers that you really should go for the premium box (which this box is vs the deluxe box). Powered Geek Box features Funko Vinyl Figures in most of their boxes. Funko items include Funko Pop!, Mystery Minis, and Dorbz!
Everything in the November box. I think this is a pretty sweet haul, but perhaps the sight of Peter Weller in his Robosuit is clouding my judgment.
The box usually comes with sort of novelty candy item. We received a strip of Zotz, the Italian fizzy raspberry candy, an Extreme Sour Warhead, and a hunk of Bazooka bubblegum.
Guinness World Records BYO Flying UFO Model Kit ($10.32): The kit includes full instructions and materials to build four UFOs of different sizes, each powered by a rubber band-driven propellor.
Funko POP! Doctor Who Adipose Vinyl Figure ($8.43): The lardy, parasitic creature from the popular ski-fi series. We love Funko, especially POP!, and this guy is adorable (and possibly the inspiration for BayMax?)!
Family Guy Drinking Dice Game ($5.78): The four most popular characters get together for a classless, and exceptionally entertaining dice-driven drinking game. All four characters impact each roll of a player — could you possibly have put your sobriety in the hands of your more unworthy individuals!?!
Asobu Touch Control Joystick for Touchscreens ($8.17): Old school gamers unite! My rudimentary test on the iPad mini found the controller hard to attach, but I love the concept. If I can achieve a reliable seal, this will be the coolest iPad accessory ever.
Asobu Stress Controller ($6.95): Squishy and comforting, as a controller should be.
The stress Controller looks just like the real thing! The Asobu detaches from the ring for more unconstrained gameplay.
Tetris Magnets ($7.84): Tetris invented the genre of the highly-addictive set-frame, dropping object clearing game (really, that’s what the genre is called). These magnets are instantly recognizable across the globe and show our gamer vintage.
I have to admit, Robocop 2 does not stand out as a superior follow-on to the original (think GF II, T II), but the character and casting remains the same as the original film. PW is pretty badass, even if he isn’t lecturing on the mosaics of Constantinople.
Powered Geek Box always has a great selection of items from the geek universe. I absolutely adore the tee selected for this month — the choice of a sequel few knew existed exudes geek cred.
