The Savvy Heart Espresso Body Resurfacer ($24) I’m not a fan of coffee in any form, but it turns out my husband loves coffee scrubs, and he’ll love this one! It uses espresso beans, sugar, safflower, sunflower, sesame seed, olive and jojoba oils!
Safiya Botanicals Aromatic Facial Steam ($10) This sounds soothing to try out! I don’t think I’ve ever made a facial tea steam before. All the ingredients are certified organic or “local organic.” Which means that you have to trust that they’re organic. Ingredients: Yarrow, Witch Hazel, Chamomile, Red Rose Buds and Petals, Rosemary, Calendula
The Tea Spot Premium Loose Leaf Organic Assam Tea ($3) I don’t drink tea, so I’ll give the description for this “nectarous and assertive” tea from the site!
Subtle, sweet, and sophisticated – this esteemed organic assam is from the Banaspaty Estate in Northeast India. Rich honey notes emerge from the amber liquor, with malty undertones far more subtle than a traditional assam tea. Also less astringent than traditional assam, the smooth sweet character of these slightly larger leaves deliver a clean brew with less tannin. Easy to brew up properly, this tea produces a consistently blissful cup that will transport you to India’s Assam Valley.
My husband will enjoy it – he loves black tea.
Smashed! Boozy Jams & Jellies – Apple Butter & Cinnamon Whiskey ($12) Now this is my JAM! I have some Belgian waffles downstairs that are BEGGING to be heated and spread lovingly with this jam, which is made out of cinnamon whiskey, apples, and sugar. I want to try them all.
HummHouse Pink Rose Lip Butter Balm ($4.19) I love that this lip butter is tinted pink from beets! It’s rose scented, so I’ll skip trying it and save it for my mother-in-law, who adores rose scented everything.
Authored Adornments Customs Vintage Silver Bookmark ($13.99) This was a neat custom bookmark made from vintage recycled silver and it says “Live well and prospur.” My daughter will likely steal this one – she’s a bona fide bookworm and she thinks jokes about subscription boxes are funny. Good thing she’s mine!
HummHouse Neon Nature Recycled Craft Cards ($7.50) These are lovely eco-cards printed on recycled kraft paper with hand-drawn nature designs designs. I like the nice sharp patterns of these. Reminds me of traditional Japanese art.
This was a good box, but I’d wished for more items to actually use at breakfast instead of items that one would serve at breakfast except used on my body, but maybe that’s just because I’m a piglet. It did have a great value – around $75 – and all the items were high quality and useful, and they all stuck to Prospurly’s artisan-crafted theme. It was a lot of fun to discover some new Etsy shops too! I know I’m passing off more than a few products to my husband this month – but it brings up a good point – this box is a particularly nice box for couples to share!
