The August 1Up Box theme was Combat! 1 Up Box is a geek and gamer subscription box. They describe themselves as offering something remarkable, something creative, and something unique in which all geeks and gamers can fancy. Each month, receive 4-6 items including gear, snacks, toys, art, and just about anything that spells awesome.
The information card is slightly different than most, but still contains all the items.

Link vs. Ink Shirt ($15) Tom saw this and said oh no, he’s going to have to tell the story of Link to our daughter again – but of course he loves it. This is a really fun shirt and I think the concept and art on it is great.
Catch-Them-All Sweatband ($5) Pokemon referencing sweatband.
Dragon Stress Ball ($1) Work it out.
Combat Sticker ($3?) The information card said it had numerous iconic characters “from one the best fighting games in history” (yes just like that) and I think what they meant was “from some of the best.”
1Up Combat Button – We think this is a Wolverine and Link and something else mashup but we’re not sure of the third reference.
Pandapool Combat Panda Patch ($5) This is fun – Deadpool as Panda! Plus it can straight up stick on or get ironed on.
Another great family friendly geek box from 1Up box. Some of the other boxes are too mature for my kids and this is perfect for them. I also think it’s a good box for older teens and adults who want just generally fun swag that has nearly universal appeal (as opposed to the hyper-focused themes of other geek boxes). A little heavy on the filler, but it was nicely produced, and the shirt and Funko were a real win this month!

Actually they are referring to the Super smash brothers series for nintendo. Love that series. This box looks perfect for me
DANGIT. Now it makes sense! I think this is a great box and this month in particular was one of my faves.
My sister ordered this box based on the spoilers. She is going to use them as Christmas gifts for the boys. I can tell they will be a big hit.
