We received the Nano Hercules Helipilot! It sells for $50 on Amazon, and and on Hobbytron. RCs are one of those things with crazy inflated MSRP (this one is $100) but you can find them for less. However, the subscription is an even better savings.
We haven’t tested out this claim, but it’s supposed to withstand 200 lbs of force.
This RC Helicopter has all sorts of features, up down, all around, built in gyro, and crazy loud music!
The little diagram on the box shows you what all the buttons do, and it comes with an instruction sheet too.
The joystick base was pretty intuitive once we figured out how to work it.
The kids were totally besides themselves. And also, this is the review where I show you way too much of my studio/office before I do my weekly cleanup, but when I need to verify with the IRS that I do indeed use an entire room out of my house to run my blog, here’s my proof!
It has a flashing blue/red light when it’s connected.

So if you plan to get this subscription, be prepared to be in for 3 months! If you’re already an RC fan or want to try it out, this is a great way to do it, but I’d do it on a credit card with good customer service, because I haven’t heard the best things about canceling this box (this was about 6 months ago, they may have improved). My son came downstairs this morning crying because the helicopter wasn’t in my office – my husband snuck it downstairs to play last night. They are all totally addicted!

This was by far the hardest thing to cancel ever. My goodness and they wouldn’t give a refund for charging me after all the emails I sent to try and cancel. Not a good experience. Time to try and find something new to try out.
