The April 2015 Gentleman’s Box slyly paid homage to David Beckham. Gentleman’s Box is a monthly men’s subscription box – including the required essentials for the savvy man. Every box includes the latest issue of GQ and selected items ranging from style to grooming.
The theme for April honored “Our Favorite English Soccer Superstar.” Fortunately Gentleman’s Box realized everyone would be terribly confused if they called him a football star.

Lots of grooming tips for the overly bearded among us.
Tretorn No Show Socks ($10) These are great for summertime boat shoes. I am not a no-socks guy for shoes and I like these socks for that purpose.
Gents Mode Knit Tie ($29.90) This was a cool tie. I like the color and I love the very tight knit. Most knit ties are very thin knit and you can’t really distinguish them; this one had a lot of character to it, plus the square bottom challenged the notion that a tie needs to be pointy at the bottom. Really it’s just a piece of fabric that you wear around your neck – why do all of them need a point?
Gents Mode Anchor Bracelet ($20) I have a similar one of these – the anchor and fishhook motifs are one of the most accessible bracelets for men to wear. A gateway bracelet you might say. Wearing this bracelet made me feel like Ryan from The O.C.
Niche for Men Deodorizing Wipes ($3) I haven’t tried these ones out yet – but I tucked them in my dopp for a vacation. Perfect when you need to freshen up and don’t have access to a shower.
Real Detergent for The Modern Man ($3) I have to say in almost 2 years of boxes, I’ve never seen a clothing detergent formulated for men. This had a pleasant scent and I can’t say that my wife would mind it on her clothes – but I’ll make sure to keep it on man-only clothing.
The value of the April Gentleman’s Box was around $63. A really great solid box with super usable items that were perfect for thinking about the warmer days of summer.
