Are you ready? Golden Tote‘s brand new site opens at noon today! Before the site is available, you can see the Golden Tote March spoilers and the Boutique’s accessories spoilers too! You will want to fill out your new site profile BEFORE the sale starts at 3pm today.
If you’re not familiar with Golden Tote, it’s a fashion grab bag – get 2-3 pieces for $49, 5-7 for $149 (add $8 to both for shipping). You pick out one piece for the small tote and 2 for the big, the rest is a total surprise!
Golden Tote has posted extensive tips to get you ready for the sale, which I am pasting below, but summarizing here:
- Items will now be held in your cart for 10 minutes after they are placed there; the timer refreshes each time you add a new item.
- You may now choose 2 of the same item in different colors.
- The new profile is extensive, but don’t overly limit yourself. Be open to a new look and remember that stylists choose items from a set that has been curated for that month.
- Comments are limited to 100 characters. Stylists won’t have access to checkout page comments.
- Already placed February orders won’t be combined with March orders. If you want to purchase an older surprise item email [email protected]

Tote Day Tips
• The new website has a cart timer! Items will be held for 10 minutes once they arrive in your cart and the timer refreshes each time you add a new item.
• Want the Perfect Skinny Jeans in every color? No problem! The new site will allow you to choose 2 of the same item as your $149 tote chosen items and you can even purchase another pair as an add-on.
• Get thinking about your body type! The new profile includes multiple choice questions such as “What is your body type?” “What occasions do you typically dress for?” and “Are there any prints that you prefer to avoid?”
• The new site will launch at 9 a.m.PST, Monday, March 9th. That gives you three hours to check out the site before the tote launches at noon (PST)! We recommend creating your new profile during this time to speed up the purchasing of your tote.
• Since our new style profile is so extensive comments will be limited to 200 characters so best to limit that space for very specific requests or something that is not asked in the profile. The stylists will not have access to read any comments at the checkout page.
• For the most part, we will not be carrying over surprise items from February and months prior. If you’d like to purchase an old surprise item please email [email protected].
• The new profile is much more extensive (and more exciting!), but remember that the more you choose to exclude on your profile, the fewer surprise options we have for you. We think that one of the best things about Golden Tote is that it can open you up to a look you’ve never tried before! Also keep in mind that all surprise items are pre-purchased and we use your style profile to choose the best match to the items we have in stock. It won’t always be perfect and we might not always be able to accommodate every part of your profile perfectly but we will get it pretty close and think you will like them.
• Old gift cards will work in the new system like a coupon code and deduct from your total accordingly.
• Old referral credits will be carried over with your account to the new system.
One last reminder: Shipping of late February tote orders will not be combined with March tote orders.
