Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists, a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates. I don’t even have a Sephora (not even a JCP one) but this box totally excites me even without those experiences – I love the high end brands every month for just $10.

That little card is a PLAY!Pass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box – in-store only.

The theme is “Beauty Staycation.”

The booklet had a fun graphic with beauty tips for wherever summer takes you!

This fold out poster shows a list of all the items included in this box plus beauty trivia and tips. You can access all of the information and also watch the videos right on the Sephora site or use the app to scan the sheet for more info!

The pouches are cute. Back to fabric this month – what are you using yours for?

Everything in my box 056!  See the spoilers for other variations here.

Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer ($10)

This moisturizer is ridiculously expensive – $69 per ounce – and it’s just what I want to receive in a box! It’s rich, creamy, and uses vitamin C for skin brightening and DMAE for firming and toning.  It’s not perfect though – it does have a floral scent and I would prefer it unscented.

REN Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask ($7.60) Use for urgent skin rescue! Smooth this mask on your face  to reduce itchiness, redness, and inflammation. This mask would be great to test out after you overdo it with another treatment.

Madam CJ Walker Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque ($6.67) This paraben-free treatment mask deep conditions and rehydrates dry, damaged, or color-treated hair.

Once again I am baffled at reviewing a dry/curly hair item – I have super fine hair which is listed in my profile. Even mask lovers on the Sephora site say it weighs down their hair. I won’t even bother trying it, but my curly haired best friend will love it.

Clinique Chubby Stick in 06 Woppin’ Watermelon ($6.80)

This is a fun pink shade with a lot of shine that is 2 steps back from Barbie pink, which makes it wearable and fun!

Viktor & Rolf BONBON ($2.71)

This sugary sweet scent has notes of caramel, mandarin, and orange Blossom with a distinctly peachy scent! A fun summer fragrance!

Always so pleased when I find a spritzer instead of a vial.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara ($13.30)

IT Cosmetics is one of my go to brands so I was happy to see this!

This is a tad over half size so it’s a really great tube.

The brush allows you to really get to the lash line  and get enough layers to achieve the volume and length you need. Great mascara!

The value was really high for my variation this month – about $47. I really loved everything except for the hair product – Sephora continues to mystify me by matching me with a coarse and curly hair product!

Are you a Sephora Play subscriber? What did you think of the box this month??
