Nomadik is a subscription box for outdoor enthusiasts. Each month, expect to receive unique, functional gear designed to increase your fun in the outdoors. All products have been trail tested by an outdoor adventurer and will often incorporate new technologies. Each box costs $30 with discounts available for long-term subscriptions. Nomadik’s goal is to provide boxes whose retail values are roughly $40. Although they may fall just short of that some months, other months will have a slightly higher retail value.
Nomadik’s January 2017 box contained a pair of socks, pain relief balm, healing salve and two snack pouches.
Joshua Tree’s Mini Healing Salve ($6.99) is an organic blend of beeswax, essential oils, herbs and resins designed to heal chapped, dry and broken skin. Originally developed for rock climbers at Joshua Tree National Park, this product works wonders on dry, damaged skin.
Green Goo’s Pain Relieving Balm ($7.95) is made from olive oil infused with arnica flowers and essential oils. This allows arnica flowers’ anti-inflammatory properties to shine through, helping to increase circulation while bringing relief to sore muscles wherever the balm is applied.
I was excited to receive this pair of Richer Poorer’s Men’s Active Outdoor Lightweight Crew Socks ($18). These lovely wool blend hiking socks help control odor while wicking away moisture and regulating temperature–just what I need for my weekly hiking trips with my son!
As I said, my son and I have started going on weekly midweek hikes, which is great fun! We typically hike for about 45 minutes, stop along a creek for lunch and continue on our journey once we’re done. These reusable snack packs will be the perfect addition to our lunch supplies.
