Studio Calico Stationery Kit August 2016 Subscription Box Review

Studio Calico has four monthly subscription kit options, though they all revolve around the same monthly theme. The scrapbooking kit is scrapbooking, stationery for stationery, planner for planners, and the documenter one is for journallers. This review is for the stationery kit! Everything arrives packed in a sturdy clear case which is great for storing both your kit and any other supplies!

The kit always comes in a roomy pencil case that is see-through to the contents inside. I use these to organise cards, stickers, and other supplies so I can easily find them!

August’s theme is Young At Heart.

Here’s the month’s colour palette.

The first set of cards are a medium size. All of these cards are blank inside. I love the Always Keep Fighting card, and the thank you card is in French, so as a Canadian I approve!

The top left and bottom right cards are one-sided and blank on the reverse. I love the idea of hand-writing a memory with a friend to send to them! We were also sent another encouragement/cheer up card, and a Woohoo! card that has a lot of uses — a birthday, promotion, new job, new baby, engagement… anything worth yelling about!

Studio Calico kits always include a bunch of special extras! In addition to another small greeting card we were sent some mailing labels, blue ribbon (great for gift tags!), a notepad, a balloon, and some vinyl ephemera.

I loved the colour scheme this month with a focus on yellow and teal! My friend Britts and I have been sending one another cards since she moved to the East coast, and I’m excited to be able to use my new cards. Sidenote: my mom was extremely jealous of me when I showed her what I received, so I think it would make a very cool gift for a parent as well!
