My January Stitch Fix featured blues and neutrals. Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).
Everything always comes wrapped so neatly! It makes it really fun to open!
Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately! I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).
Everything in my fix for January. Collective Concepts Lenna Dress ($88) Well, this dress is pretty, if a little busy. I left feedback for my stylist regarding my preferred level of warmth for the winter. She suggested tights and boots and a cardigan – I suggest pants and sleeves instead. It’s cold up here y’all (ok ok I did just spend a week in Florida where this would’ve been welcomed).
Amour Vert for Stitch Fix Alessandro Silk V-Neck Blouse ($118) I don’t think I’ve received a silk anything from Stitch Fix before, so that was new, as was Amour Vert. Unfortunately this is one of my least favorite colors – and this shirt is long and baggy (they could have reduced the price for this top and made it a reasonable size!). I am sure this shirt will be a “love” for a lot of women so I wasn’t upset about it!
Alice Blue Lucio Henley Blouse ($48) I’m all over this one! I love the unique metallic leaf print and the bright royal blue (although I wish they’d send me some pink and fuchsia too!). This one was a keeper!
RD Style Klarisa Open Drape Cardigan ($88) I couldn’t get over the blah style, the burgundy color, or the price tag of this acrylic sweater. Pass on all fronts. Even if this is your style I don’t think the pricetag is worth it.
BRIXON IVY Corneli Cowl Neck Poncho ($78) I was pretty excited when I saw in my app that a poncho was coming (no photo). But I’m meh on this. I just received a black and white poncho from Stitch Fix that I absolutely adore, and while this is nice, I don’t like the wool/mohair smell. At all. The pricing on this one was reasonable for what it is though, compared with the cardigan.
This Fix was a miss for me personally. All except the nice blue blouse were pretty understated and not really my style. The one item that my stylist referred to my Pinterest board was really a win, and I think the rest were just sort of random choices! I am often not great at actually leaving feedback about my Stitch Fix packages, and the app definitely helps with that, but if I had a little more room in my profile I could get very specific about my “nos” (I have too many of them I’m sure!). I did like, after many months of relatively inexpensive clothing, that my stylist sought out some different price points – but they really have to be lovable items for me to keep them!

Loved seeing this, yours was much more expensive this time! I balked at the $88 price on my jeans in my last fix D:
lol you know what i say – don’t send me pants! i got those taken care of!
I love the concept of Stitch Fix – letting a stylist get you out of the clothes rut you may be in by choosing items/colors/patterns that you’d ordinarily pass by. However, I’m on my third Stitch Fix “fix” and each box has gotten worse. So far, have kept one necklace and one grey sweater. I keep providing feedback about needing petite tops and keep getting shirts that are too long. January’s box looked like it came from the clearance rack at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I’ve tweaked my profile hoping that that will improve my selections and have asked for more color and no more grey.
If the next box isn’t a wow I’m going to have to cancel. I need Stitch Fix to do more for me than I can do for myself at retail.
if you have been getting the same stylist, tell them you want a new one! even my beloved stylist (who i will not let them change) sometimes has a bit of a dud box. have you set up a pinterest board?
