GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a monthly subscription box full of artisan goods from producers all over the world. The subscription box is available for $35 per month (save more with a longer subscription).
The GlobeIn box comes with a nice tri-fold full color information card. This month’s theme is “World Kitchen” though it’s not a food and cooking box. GlobeIn sources its products exclusively from non-profits, artisan collectives and other organizations that ensure a fair wage is paid to the artisans and farmers. This month’s box included a recipe because that was the theme.
Each box includes stories on the country of origin of each product as well as the stories of the artisans and farmers who create them.
The February box! Every GlobeIn box I have received comes packed in the outer box and everything is inside the nice leaf basket. I used last month’s to give a gift and she loved it!
Greenheart Handwoven Kitchen Towel ($14.50) I always love a new cotton towel for my kitchen. We’re towel people and only buy paper towels about once a year. This one is treadle-loomed and gorgeous. I love the color.
Boca Java Pacamara Ground Coffee ($2.50) My husband said this smelled fabulous and tasted great. Subscribers received one of several direct trade coffees this month.
Greenheart Sobremesa Hand Painted Spice Tagine ($13) I think this little tagine is so cute, and the glazes used are 100% lead and cadmium free, so it’s totally food safe. We cook with multiple spices and salts and this will go well in our spice-friendly kitchen.
Natierra Inkasalt Pink Salt ($5.29) We just finished a container of Himalayan pink salt and I couldn’t wait for this box to arrive. It really brings out the flavors of foods, especially veggies. This is getting used ASAP!
LaFaza Pure Madagascar Bourbon Ground Vanilla ($12) I have never received or purchased this product before, so I was excited about it. I can imagine using in any any number of baked goods, mixing with ice cream or caramel sauce, anything where you want to give the visual appeal of those vanilla specks!
Big Tree Farms Organic Coconut Palm Sugar ($0.50) Low-glycemic sugar for your coffee. I haven’t tried this yet but have heard so much about coconut palm sugar.
February’s GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box was an amazing assortment and I think they totally nailed the “World Kitchen” theme. The previous boxes post-revamp (there used to be variations and now they’re concentrating on one awesome monthly theme) were “Tribal” and “Refresh.” I’m not sure what the March box will be but I’m excited to see spoilers for that.
