Yogi Surprise August 2015 Jewelry Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Yogi Surprise, in addition to its regular monthly lifestyle box, has a jewelry+treat only subscription box. Every month you’ll get 2 handmade yoga-inspired jewelry piece and 1 superfood or organic chocolate treat. Yogi Surprise Jewelry is fairtrade, sustainably harvested, nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free, made in Bali, Indonesia, and 10% of all proceeds are given to further education for the Balinese families who handmake the jewelry pieces.

This month’s jewelry was inspired by the theme “Honouring the Fire Within.”

The information card explains the selections and gives the retail prices – I think the MSRPs on these pieces are inflated, but if you love this style of jewelry, you’ll still be happy with this box, because the jewelry for the box price is an excellent value.

Jasper Stone Amethyst Necklace ($98) I absolutely loved both pieces this month. I find the descriptions of the traditional uses of the stones interesting. In this case, amethyst was used to induce sobriety as well as boost metabolism and hormonal production. Ha, perfect for me. I love the gorgeous large purple stones and I think the jasper is a really nice pairing (which is said to align opposing innterconnected forces and support the digestive system).

Lava Stone Pearl Bracelet ($39) This is perhaps the most unusual bracelet I’ve ever received in a subscription box! It features rounded lava stone beads and freshwater pearls. I do wish the bracelets were smaller, though. Perhaps a small/large preference on this subscription would be a good idea. I just prefer my beaded bracelets to be close to the wrist.Gorgeous contrast on this.

CAMP Single Origin Dark Drinking Chocolate with Organic Coffee ($3) Yogi Surprise has impressed me with their ability to send chocolate in the summer time. I can’t stand coffee, but my husband will enjoy this one! Premium drinking chocolate crafted using organic cacao sourced from Oro Verde farmer owned cooperative in Northern Peru.
