Each month you will find your candle in a reusable, sturdy cloth bag. The pattern or color changes each time and tends to complement the season. This pattern reminded me of fall with its warm shades.
Meadow Candle Studio Cashmere ($40) Um, is this a fall candle, because Cashmere sounds like a lovely, cozy scent for those cool autumn days! It has listed notes of white freesia, lily, violet, and woods and while that’s a whole lot of florals it also has a white muskiness to my nose. It’s made with soy wax and phthalate-free, paraben-free fragrance oil. This size should burn for around 80 hours.
Cashmere Hand Cream ($10) I received a hand cream in a scent that matches my candle! Some of the ingredients include aloe, argan oil, glycerin, mineral oil, and lanolin oil and has those same scent notes: white freesia, lily, violet, and woods. Unfortunately it’s really hard to dispense from the hard-sided container but I managed a small bit and it was highly fragranced and the scent was long-lasting.
I had fall feels with the April Vellabox! Cashmere by Meadow Candle Studio had floral notes listed along with woods and for me, it smelled warm and cozy. I don’t think it’s something I would have picked up for myself but I must say, this candle smelled better hot than cold, it really brought out some different notes while burning. The throw was decent, it didn’t scent my living room but at least I could smell it when I walked by. The bonus item, a highly scented hand lotion, was too much for my senses, I could still smell the scent after washing my hands several times. It was also hard to get any product to come out of the bottle, I see why squeezy tubes are more common for hand lotions. Whichever candle scent you received, you should receive a matching hand lotion, although honestly I wouldn’t mind a little mix and match so I can try different scents rather than have my candle and lotion match, but maybe that’s just me.
