Scentbird is a monthly perfume and fragrance decanting subscription. With Scentbird you get a thirty day supply of perfume every month. When you join you fill out a profile – including three of your favorite designer perfumes – then you make a wishlist of perfumes you’d like to try. You’ll get a new sprayer every month, plus your first month includes a case to hold whatever perfume you’re currently using! You can add extra cases to an existing subscription for $12.95.

My box came with my fragrance and two cards.

Moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, and black cardamom are enhanced with hints of wild fig and bergamot. These notes combine to create a captivating fragrance that transitions well from day to evening.

There’s a new “Scent Muse” and it seems like they have left behind the farce of having them choose the perfume of the month (NEST is one of their new fragrances they’re featuring).

 Your first month will include a little perfume vial case and velvet holder. Scentbird decants the perfume from the manufacturer’s bottle to a little glass vial that fits in the sprayer. The perfumes are 100% authentic and you’ll receive an 8ml sprayer. A card comes with the vial demonstrating its use. You just twist it to spray!

My scent for November was Dot by Marc Jacobs. Here’s the description:

Surprising and effervescent, energetic and alive —DOT by Marc Jacobs captures a charming, upbeat spirit with timeless sophistication. Simple and straightforward in statement, exuberant and feminine in design.

I picked this one based on the description last month. The main notes are: Red Berries, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Driftwood, Musk. I like the chic tropical vibe of this fragrance!

The sprayer just slips right into your case. I have a black one, a purple one, and a red one! I’ve been using red because of the holidays, but I think it’s time to switch off from cardinal red soon. Goodbye 2015!

Value-wise I made a pretty good selection – my scent was worth about $15. Overall I really don’t mind when it’s less because I like having a fragrance wardrobe to pop in and out of my cases instead of getting hung up on the value (which is always about the cost of the individual perfume, plus you get free shipping, and they are providing the decanting service as well).  I can’t wait for NEST next month!
