A short note from Estie, the founder of Nestify Box.
The back of the card tells you how to earn $10 for every referral and bonus gift if you leave Nestify a 5-star review on Cratejoy. (How about leave an honest review?)
Everything is wrapped inside a light blue tissue paper…
… and protected with brown paper squiggles.
Everything in my April 2017 Nestify Box.
Bone Inlay Picture Frame: This is a similar style to some other frames I have, and I like the pop of green! I’m thinking this frame might be around $5-7 at Michael’s but this one (with a more complex chevron style) is $15.
It’s not terribly high quality but it’s something I wouldn’t have selected myself, but that I really like.
Macrame Plant Hanger: A cotton macrame plant hanger!
I think as we start moving outdoors this is a great item! (I’m not ready to add new holes to my ceiling yet).
I grabbed a glass vase (not included in this box) to demonstrate how it looks when it’s filled out. The beauty of these plant hangers is that they accommodate different sizes and shapes of pots!
BTW Ceramics Ceramic Dish: The splatter of green on this wee little dish also perfectly coordinates with the theme.
It’s just large enough for a pair of earrings or a ring. I love the fresh modern design of the dish.
Impossible to see, but it does bear a small makers mark on the bottom.
Linen Pillow Cover: Cute wrapping!
So the information card calls this a linen pillow cover handblocked by artisans in India. It looks more to me like a printed woven polyester. It doesn’t mean the pillow case is not a cute accent, but I wish the card was a bit more accurate.
It’s worth pointing out that this subscription is newer. I really like the curator’s design and the pieces she’s selecting, and I think this box has really great potential curation wise if they can branch out and find higher value items for the price. I especially loved the addition of an artisan crafted item this month. However, I can’t say anything great about the 5 star review solicitation and the pillowcase issue.
I think if this subscription focused on ethical practices and partnering with quality artisan designers they could really have something! I would even be happy with 1-2 pieces a month plus a mood board to help incorporate it into my space. The April greenery theme really gave me a nice lift.

Comments
I think Nestify is missing the mark in not providing additional information on its items. I would prefer knowing more about the skilled artisans creating the items in the box. I agree about the pillow case looks like a printed woven polyester cover. The bowl reminded me of the bowl that I received in a Decoterie box. The five star request comes across as not being receptive to feedback or making changes to the subscription.
I like the concept and like the idea of what is being selected. I’ll keep reading the reviews and may subscribe if the sub evolves more to what I pictured when reading the description. It’s new and most curators plan three months out. I am interested in seeing how the fourth box compares to the first couple of boxes.
