First peek!

There is a magazine by Look Fantastic in each box as well – this includes the product information, makeup tutorials, style highlights, and other features. I really like the way the mag is laid out, often there are interviews, beauty tutorials, and spotlights on the products and brands included in the month’s box. They’ve reformatted the mag since last year, and it now has more details about the items included with tips and directions on how to use.

SVR Sebiaclear Gel Moussant ($0.46) — I’ve never heard of SVR before! They are a line from France and the prices are really reasonable which is great — a big 200ml bottle is only around $10! It’s a soap-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free cleanser to help unclog pores and cleanse skin. It sounds more like this is targeted towards oily skin types but it should be gentle enough for my dry skin.
Lancer Omega Hydrating Oil ($12.50) — A lightweight and nourishing facial oil with a combination of argan and olive oils. It also includes turmeric which brings down redness.

Kerastase Reflection Multi-Protecting Shampoo ($17, similar) — So apparently this version of the shampoo has been discontinued, and replaced with a sulfate-free version. This version contains SLS which isn’t recommended for color-treated hair so I can understand why they likely reformulated it. I won’t be using it myself as my red locks are coloured chemically, but it’s a good travel size that would last a while.
Filorga Tan Booster ($7.24) — A moisturizing blend of argan, avocado, almond, and apricot oils to soothe and hydrate skin. It’s meant to enhance your tan naturally with amino acids, but I think even if you’re pale like me it would be a good moisturizer. The scent is light and it doesn’t feel oily.

Doucce Highlighter Pan ($14) — Doucce has a pan system where you can make your own customized palettes. This is a nice light highlighter.
First Aid Beauty Cleanser ($4) — First Aid Beauty rocks! I’m a big fan of their products. I haven’t tried the cleanser yet so this is a big win for me. This is a fragrance-free and sulfate-free cleanser that is a whipped cream texture.

The July box only had a few wins for me, mostly the oil and the cleanser. It was a bit of a boring box and I didn’t get much of a summer vibe. We’ll see what August brings!
