Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).
If you’re a Stitch Fix regular, I also suggest checking out Wantable Style Edit! It’s very similar but the clothing is totally different.
Everything always comes wrapped so neatly!
Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately! I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration.
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account.
Freeway Justin Dress ($68) What a cute nautical themed dress for the summer! This ended up being a little too thin of a material for me – I felt self-conscious, but I liked the design.
Safety first when boating (there’s a button closure to make sure your ladies don’t peep out).
I loved the little lace edging detail!
Collective Concepts Pamela V-Neck Blouse ($58) I was strangely drawn to the pattern of this shirt! It felt very “now.”
But I don’t like really big armholes, so this one went back.
THML Wicklow Chevron Embroidery Top ($48) This had a cute disconnected chevron pattern embroidered on the front. Even though there’s a lot going on here, it felt very low key.
Skies are Blue Mercury Crew Neck Top ($48) This is such a pretty, gauzey material, and I love this brand. I also am particularly in love with the tile-influenced pattern. I thought this was a perfect summer top!
This one is a Stitch Fix exclusive!
Market & Spruce Corinna Striped Dolman Top ($48) The note card mentioned that this was the current HQ fave, and I can see why. You can pair it with shorts, denims, or capris, and in my weather (my stylist Sara is very conscious of my weather) this is perfect for my summer – it’s 61 and rainy and I’m freezing! This is the piece I kept! I felt like it was totally classic and would make it effortless to put together a chic look with a lot of my existing wardrobe pieces and accessories. The style card shows it with bright blue pants – I’m going to swap those out for the cobalt blue purse that I received in a previous fix and add a gold statement necklace. Great inspiration!
Sometimes I keep a lot of my choices, and sometimes only one or two, but I still love this service. I get abnormally stressed out when going to the store. I don’t know what to buy at all or how to put it together, and this is another problem solved for me.
The prices for Stitch Fix have been very reasonable, even though I don’t place any limitation on them for my pieces. Although the patterns and fabric (and brands) were all different, I did feel like the 3 tops were all sort of the same style, so I hope to see a little more variety in my next fix. What’s your experience with Stitch Fix been like?

I got the same exact Collective Concepts tank in my box at the beginning of the month. I asked for all shirts and loved all the others exept this one, I’m not crazy for the little green prints all over it. I ended up keeping it too though because it made more sense so I could get the 25% off lol. I’ll probably end up just giving mine to a friend or something. I love your fix though that dress is too cute and the other tops are great too!
I think I accidentally forgot to do that once (keep it anyways if the price is lower). I should probably mention that I ask they don’t send pants. I am extremely picky about them because I’m round shaped and really short and when I find a pair I like I buy a pile of them, so Stitch Fix doesn’t work for that – so I get lots of dresses and shirts! 🙂
Yeah that sounds nice. Thanks for the help, i think I’m going to try it this month!:)
I like the Freeway Justin Dress with the button. More dresses should do that!
Do you think this box is usually worth it every month?
I think so. There’s usually something I really want and the $20 styling fee goes towards that. I have ended up with dud fixes once in a while but the ease of shopping makes up for it. It does save a lot of time (of course I also spend the time reviewing it, but apart from that – you get it in the mail, try on the clothes, done).
