Summer is not over just yet! With a vacation-themed curation for August 2022, Ipsy Glam Bag encouraged us to take care of ourselves while enjoying the warm breeze and lush landscapes this season. They sent five beauty items to keep us company in Hotel Paradise, so put on your sunglasses and your best summer dress and get ready to unwind. Keep on reading to learn more about what we received this month!

This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag gives off lush, tropical vibes, featuring pretty plants on a pink background. Accentuated with a gold-colored zipper and leaf-shaped pull tab with IPSY branding, it totally looks like something worthy of bringing to any getaway!
Summer is a great time to add a pop of color to your makeup look and sometimes, all you need is a nice, well-pigmented blush to do just that! Violet Voss Radiant Blush in Peachy Perfect ($20) is a velvety blush that goes on smoothly and gives the cheeks a beautiful peach flush without wearing off easily. This means you can enjoy your hotel vacation and not worry about frequent touch-ups!
Hero Cosmetics Micropoint for Dark Spots ($12.99) come in handy if you need to get rid of post-acne marks before your best vacay ever. Each small patch is infused with brightening properties, all you have to do is put it on the desired area and leave it on for 6 hours – maybe while you pack your stuff or as you enjoy your beauty sleep. Ingredients include vitamin C, niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and sodium hyaluronate.
How about relaxing in your hotel bedroom with a sheet mask on? If that sounds like a great idea, there are a couple of sheet masks from Ipsy to use: Patch Holic Aqua Plus+ Moisturizing and Aqua Plus+ Soothing Mask ($7.60)! The moisturizing mask keeps the skin plump and healthy as it’s infused with hyaluronic acid. Meanwhile, the soothing mask is infused with tea tree and chamomile which helps the skin calm down a bit. These sheets are thin and soft, that’s why they’re so comfortable when you put them on!
The sole hair product in my glam bag is Briogeo Hair Care Curl Charisma ($4), a curl crème packed with naturally-derived ingredients. It’s formulated to keep wavy, curly, or coily hair soft and bouncy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t match my hair type, but this is a really nice product if you need help in maintaining your curls. You can use it after washing and conditioning your hair, just leave it on – no rinsing needed – and air dry for best results. Ingredients include rice amino acids, avocado oil, quinoa extract, and tomato fruit ferment extract.
Oryza Glow Up Lip Balm in Vanilla Dew ($16) keeps the lips plump and hydrated and leaves a sheer natural color that goes well with your summer outfits! It contains vitamins C and E, as well as plant extracts like watermelon and rose to ensure long-lasting hydration. No sticky or tacky feeling when applied, so you can comfortably wear it all vacation long!
This month’s glam bag easily put me in a vacation state of mind, with great products that I can use to pamper myself and unwind. I received skincare and haircare items, as well as a couple of cosmetics I’d love to bring on a trip. Although the hair product doesn’t suit my hair type, this is still a good curation overall with a total retail value of $60.59. It’s a win for ladies who want to look their best even on their time off!
