Doki Doki is a monthly Kawaii subscription box from Japan Crate. Every month you’ll receive super cute Japanese items – accessories, stationery, plushies, and other adorable Japanese goodies.
The branding for this box is really super cute!

Each crate comes with a manga-style booklet to help you figure out what each item is (that means it’s bound on the right side instead of the left!).

The middle of the booklet contains all the information about the items.

There’s a little comic and a contest too.

Everything in the April Box! Such cuteness! The theme this month was a Japan Arcade theme.

Hoppe Chan X Doki Doki Crate Postcard Set
Hoppe Chan Charm ($5? They’re really not easy to find)
I was excited to see Doki Doki partner with Hoppe-Chan (and in fact, the image for the last spoiler said something about a monthly Hoppe-Chan, which I would not be upset about!). I think they’re like little poop emoji, except not poop, but even cuter than a poop emoji.
They’re SO cute.

A closer look at the charm. This one was pretty tiny, but I set this one up with the other Hoppe-Chan from Doki Doki eating the Re-Ment blind box items for last month for my daughter to play with. It was darling. I sorta wish that it wasn’t a charm, because that’s not really a thing here, but I think I can remove the charm part.

This set of postcards was a fun idea, but I dislike a couple things about them – the big URL, and the QR code. Those could have been on the back for max cuteness!

What was neat though is that it leads to an English-language explanation of the birth of Hoppe-Chan!

Re-Ment Charmy Loom – Loom the Loop and Refill Pack ($5?) As far as I can tell this is exactly the same as the loom bracelets that were big here last year. Saving it for a rainy day with the kiddos! This is a cool idea because you can work in your charms that you receive from various subscriptions or elsewhere to your bracelet!

Neko Atsume Clips or Charms ($6.69) Subscribers received one of a variety. This is sure to be a hit – I admit that I have Neko Atsume on my phone! How many cat pictures have you collected? This one is Lexy!
Kotori Tai Light-Up Mascots ($3.39) This has 2 metal contacts on the bottom – when your skin completes the circuit, Kotori Tai will flash!
Tada! Cockatiels are super Kawaii – new alpaca for 2016?!

Amuse Fuwatto Fuwacorochan Plush ($8.99) Subscribers received one of a variety. What a sweet little angora bunny!

We got the Cororin plush. I thought I’d include a pic of the tags. I believe this might be an actual arcade prize.

Amuse Coroham Ice-Kun Pouch ($6.29) This is the cutest little pouch. Stuff it with whatever treasures you can find, just like a hamster stuffs its cheeks!
I think this box was really cute! I don’t know about the Arcade theme really, but the items themselves were cute, and everything appeared to be officially licensed (and not just that – everything in the box was a licensed product – no randomly cute things). There was about $35 in value in the box, although that’s really hard to get a handle on with items that aren’t available in the US at all. My daughter and I enjoyed everything in this box and we’re already looking forward to more cuteness. See the May spoilers here!
