I am an avid user of sunscreen so it should come as no surprise that the summer Dermy Doc Box is the box I most look forward to every June! Just as I expected, it came with a few different products that contained sun protection but there were a few treatments in there too, plus a non-skincare item that is also highly appropriate for this time of year. See all of the items in the Summer 2025 Dermy Doc Box below!

Everything came in its original packaging!

Melan SPF30 Non Aerosol Mineral Sunscreen Spray ($29) Our first product is a body sunscreen spray that has zinc oxide to reflect the sun’s rays (chemical sunscreens absorb the rays and convert them into heat). Mineral sunscreens may be tolerated better by those with sensitive skin, but the best sunscreen is the one you use consistently. Mineral sunscreens get a bad rap for leaving a white cast on skin, but I didn’t have that after using this product, which has antioxidants to provide other skin-friendly benefits. Some of the ingredients include baobab oil, aloe, safflower oil, and essential oils (which provide a barely there natural scent). Expires 12/2026.

Timeless Skin Care 10% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum ($26.95) is supposed to brighten dull skin and help fight the signs of aging. Timeless also offers a product with 20% vitamin C but this formulation is supposed to be better tolerated by those with sensitive skin. It can be applied morning and/or night and the website says it can be stored in the refrigerator (which probably means it feels super cooling on even the hottest of summer days). The texture is a non-oily serum with a smell that isn’t all that great but at least it’s not perfumed or rancid. Make sure to spread it quickly, it dries up in a flash.

Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36 ($18) My daughter loves Korean skincare and she claimed this product as soon as she saw it! This is a chemical sunscreen that can double as a makeup primer and it leaves no white cast. It has green tea to hydrate, cica to soothe, and sunflower seed oil to moisturize. It has added fragrance but it’s very light and fades quickly, with a hint of an herby floral. It disappeared completely on my skin, no white cast at all (my usual product leaves me almost ghostly pale). It’s supposed to be applied every two hours but it’s not meant for a day at the pool, use a water resistant product if you plan on swimming or sweating. Expires 07/2026.

The INKEY LIST Exosome Hydro-Glow Complex ($22) Here is another serum and it can also be applied in the morning or evening. It’s supposed to boost collagen in two weeks, helping skin look glowy and smooth. The hero ingredient is Cica Exosome, but there’s also hyaluronic acid and prickly pear extract, which are supposed to provide hydration and soothe the skin. It’s a non-sticky creamy gel serum with no noticeable scent (and is fragrance-free) that dries quickly. It can be layered with the vitamin C serum shown earlier, but apply this one first after cleansing. Don’t forget to top with sunscreen in the AM!

EltaMD UV Skin Recovery Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Face Sunscreen ($50) I think we receive a sunscreen from this brand every year and I couldn’t be more excited, this is the perfect everyday sunscreen for my sensitive skin! My current sunscreen tends to leave that telltale white cast, plus it gets all up in my eyebrows, blech. This is another mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide, and like the Melan spray product, there was no white cast! It spread easily and left a bit of a glow, but in a good way. There’s not much of a scent and thankfully it’s fragrance free. It’s good for those who have rosacea (like me) and also for those who get laser procedures, it’s not supposed to sting (but always test a small spot first). This product isn’t water resistant. Expires 11/2026.

Dermy Doc Box Glow & Go Bag ($19.99 listed value) There’s usually a Dermy Doc Box branded item each quarter and for summer it’s a tote bag! This tote matches an insulated skincare bag we received a while back, it has that same cabana striped pattern in the same dusky mauve color. It’s made of some sort of water resistant polyester material and reminds me of a wet swimsuit bag. The handles have the words “SPF is my BFF” and the whole thing can be stuffed into the attached pouch so that it’s easy to carry. Oh, and there’s a side pocket to hold a bottle of sunscreen!

The Summer 2025 Dermy Doc Box was just what I wanted in a summer skincare box, with three products that had SPF, plus two different serums, and of course that easy-to-pack tote bag. My favorite item from this quarter’s assortment was the EltaMD UV Skin Recovery sunscreen. It was easy to apply, my sensitive skin didn’t react, and it disappeared without leaving a white cast on my skin. I look forward to using the treatment serums from The INKEY List and Timeless Skincare on a regular basis. My daughter was thrilled with the Innisfree Daily UV sunscreen, it’s from a brand she likes, and I’m glad she is using SPF decades before I ever thought to begin protecting my skin (I always applied sunscreen to my daughters when they were young, and thankfully it’s something they continue to use as adults). Finally, I’m happy to have the Melan SPF 30 sunscreen spray. We mainly use spray sunscreen on our backs and this one is supposed to continue spraying even when upside down. The value for the Summer 2025 Dermy Doc Box was around $166! Now go out there, enjoy your summer, and don’t forget to use sunscreen!

Below is the product information sheet that was included which is always so helpful and includes not only directions but there’s also discount codes on future purchases at the featured brands websites!

I also received a card with information on cica and why we should add it to our skincare routines.
