Whenever the latest Dermy Doc Box hits my doorstep, I am reminded that the season is about to change and that the box will have skincare items to help carry me through whatever may be headed my way, like dry skin as a result of drier air (bring it). This quarter I received some hair care products that worked even on my delicate scalp, a rich moisturizer for my dry skin, and disposable pads to exfoliate bumpy, uneven skin from below the neck. See all of the items in the Fall 2025 Dermy Doc Box below!

Everything came in its original packaging!

RoC MULTI CORREXION® Even Tone + Lift Eye Cream ($24.99) I think that the most important qualities I look for in an eye cream is that it is fragrance-free and that it feels good when I apply, and this product hit both of those marks. It’s supposed to hydrate skin, reduce the look of dark circles, and improve firmness. Some of the ingredients are cosmetic, and provide an instant brightening effect, while others help the area stay smooth. It’s creamy and smells a bit like chemicals when first applied, but then perfume only masks that type of scent so I don’t mind it at all. Apply in the morning and night.

Honeydew Labs 0.015% Hypochlorous Acid Spray ($15.80) I’ve received a similar product in a past box, but this is from a different brand. It’s a spray made up of water, salt, and hypochlorous acid, which can also be found in bleach, however at a much lower concentration. I’m always struggling with where a new product should fit into my skincare routine and this product comes after cleansing, instead of toner. It’s supposed to help heal minor skin irritations and can be used on skin that has acne, rosacea, eczema, redness, and more, possibly helping those conditions by fighting bacteria and soothing irritation. I didn’t notice much scent when I spritzed it on my face, and I didn’t feel any irritation, but if you open it up you do get a whiff of swimming pool, but that’s to be expected.

Odacité Derm-Restore Super Serum Edelweiss Extrême ($88) AI was mentioned several times on the brand’s website for this product. They used an AI-ran farm to grow edelweiss which is then used as one of the ingredients. Some of the other things in here are various plant oils and butters (like shea and castor), aloe, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid. The product is supposed to be safe for all skin types including sensitive and claims to help improve wrinkles, fine lines, texture, and inflammation. The serum is bright yellow and has an herby scent thanks to basil extract.

DERMAdoctor KP Duty Body Peel Pads ($28) The KP in the name of these pads stands for keratosis pilaris, otherwise known as “chicken skin”, which is a buildup of keratin in the skin that can cause irritating but otherwise benign bumpy skin. The pads can be used twice a week to help exfoliate the skin below the neck and may also help improve ingrown hairs, fine lines, uneven skin tone, or use as a treatment before applying self tanner. The pads have a blend of various acids, such as AHA’s (glycolic and lactic acids), BHA (salicylic acid), and PHA (lactobionic acid) to gently dissolve the bond that holds dead skin cells together, helping them shed easily for better looking skin. They can make skin more susceptible to sun damage, so make sure to apply sunscreen if you’re going to be outside. Last year I forgot that I had applied an exfoliating lotion to my legs and the tops of my thighs that were facing the sun turned bright red!

Remedy for Rich Moisture Barrier Repairing Rich Cream Moisturizer ($20) When looking for a moisturizer I want something basic for my sensitive skin, something rich but not super greasy, and I was pleasantly surprised at this product. It’s supposed to hydrate, restore skin’s barrier, and support firmness and some of the ingredients are ceramides, peptides, niacinamide, and glycerin. There’s no added fragrance and it has a neutral scent, there’s not much to detect. It left my skin feeling hydrated and soft, and that’s all I’m asking so this is a hit for my needs.

SEEN Restore Scalp Serum ($48) Ever since I switched shampoo and conditioner for products that I’m not allergic to (see more below), I haven’t really suffered from dry scalp or flakes, so I can’t say if this product did what it was supposed to, but it didn’t cause irritation either. It’s a non-greasy serum that you apply to the scalp, gently rub in, and then style as usual. I was worried it might weigh down my fine hair but it didn’t. There was no scent other than its natural odor, there’s no added fragrance. It’s not supposed to clog pores and it’s color-safe.

SEEN Shampoo and Conditioner sample I have a very sensitive scalp, so much so that about 5 years ago I had to have a biopsy due to the large flakes, angry redness, and intense itching that I was experiencing. I was given some samples of a no-nonsense shampoo and conditioner and have been using them to this day with no problems. I tried out these samples since they are fragrance-free and they don’t have those preservatives that start with methyl and have another 21 or so letters after their names. A little goes a long way, the shampoo provided lots of lather, and the conditioner left my hair silky soft and easy to comb. I’ve been using the samples for about five days and so far I haven’t had a reaction. They cost a lot more than my current products so I don’t plan on switching, but it was fun to try something new!

The Fall 2025 Dermy Doc Box, just like every quarter’s box, reminded me that it’s time to change up my skincare routine for the season ahead, and it’s a physical reminder to take better care of my skin’s needs. My favorite item was the Remedy moisturizer, it worked well for my skin and the richness is just what I need as the air turns drier and my face starts to suffer. While the SEEN scalp serum was gentle, I don’t often suffer from dry scalp, however, I thoroughly enjoyed trying the SEEN shampoo and conditioner, it’s rare that I can use anything other than my usual products on my delicate scalp. I haven’t tried the DERMAdoctor KP pads yet, mainly because I’m worried about getting sunburned (it’s still hot and sunny here in Central Texas), but I look forward to putting them to use in the next couple of months. The Odacite serum and Honey Dew hypochlorous acid spray are solid items to round out the box, but the RoC eye cream is something that I really needed to send my undereye bags packing. The value for the Fall 2025 Dermy Doc Box was around $225!

I also received a card with information on antioxidants and why we should add it to our skincare routines.
