The latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy is here! The theme was Passport to Glow and I received 5 products that included an eyeshadow palette, makeup brushes, and more – see all of my items below! Please keep in mind that BoxyCharm by Ipsy sends out lots of different box combos so my products may vary from yours. Plus, subscribers get to choose three of their five items (the other two are chosen by Ipsy). My box was chosen for me so it doesn’t always match my beauty needs and preferences but subscribers have more control over their box!

Goldfaden MD Wake Up Call Overnight Regenerative Facial Treatment ($105) The first thing I look for in facial products is added fragrance and this one has no added parfum (it’s scented with essential oils, which can also be problematic, but yay for no parfum!). I was confused by the name, I thought it might be for morning use, but no, this is a nighttime moisturizer that’s supposed to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It has CoQ10, retinol, and avocado oil plus glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and grape seed oil. The creamy texture was soothing, and the scent reminded me of citrus fruits. It was easy to apply and left my skin soft without making it greasy.

Ciate London Watermelon Burst 2-in-1 Everyday Bam & Mask ($18 listed value) I couldn’t find this product anywhere other than at Ipsy. It’s an overnight mask for lips that, get this, doubles as an anytime lip balm! Of course, that means it’s like practically all other lip balms out there but I guess calling it a mask makes it sound fancier. You have to use your finger or a lip brush to get it out of the bottle, and it smells like watermelon candy. I wore it to bed but couldn’t feel it on my lips when I got up in the morning.

Lithe UHD Brow Sculpt Brow Shaping Wax with Sculpting Brush ($22 listed value) is another product that isn’t available on the brand’s website. It came with a spoolie brush so I ran it through the product then pressed it into the lid to make sure it wouldn’t go on in one big blob on my brows. I’m not a fan of the “laminated” brow look, I prefer my brows to be slightly darkened and then just brushed into place, so that’s what I did with this gel, although it did freeze them in the upright position when I tested it out.

Laruce Beauty Kayla Brush Set ($42 listed value) Ipsy sent us 4 brushes that I can’t find online at the brand’s website and Ipsy didn’t bother to tell us which brush is which. We have brushes marked with a letter and number, couldn’t they have used words like “blender”, fluffy blender”, “angled blender”, I don’t know. These don’t seem super fancy: they have a textured pink plastic handle that is pretty light in weight, so maybe they would be better saved for traveling. They were ok, but I have others in my collection that I like better.

Laura Geller Wildflower Wishes 14 Multi-Finish Eyeshadows ($25) Back around Christmas I gave in to the Laura Geller ads that were all over my Facebook feed and ordered several items, with mixed success (powder foundation was too dark, most of my palettes arrived shattered). Luckily my experience with their customer service team was excellent so I don’t have a problem with the brand. I was excited to receive this palette, although the shades look different from those posted on the LG website (mainly darker). There’s too many yellow/orange tones for my personal preference, and I experienced fall out plus they didn’t have the best blend-ability. This is sold as a “season-less staple” but I can’t help thinking they lean fall-like but then again, I’m sure there are plenty of people who wear warm-tones all of the time. I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Here are some of the shades from the Laura Geller palette swatched. It has a mix of shimmers and mattes.

My latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy box had five items to help me get my glow on this summer! I especially liked Wake Up Call by Goldfaden MD, it was gentle on my skin and left it soft after using. Ciate’s Watermelon Burst lippie conditioned my lips, which is exposed to sun and pool water this time of year, and of course watermelon is the perfect scent/flavor for summer! Lithe’s Brow Sculpt helped me tame my eyebrows, while the Laura Geller palette and Laruce eyeshadow brushes made my eyes shimmer and sparkle. The value for my assortment was around $212, but that was mainly with unverified listed values, but the Goldfaden alone sells for $105!
