This month, Birchbox’s theme is Warm Weather Pleasures. Summer has already reached my part of the country so I am ready for all-things summer related!

Matrix Total Results Miracle Creator Hair Mask ($5) At first I was disappointed to see this sample since I have fine hair but I do deep condition once a week. I planned on giving it to my daughter but then went on vacation.
After spending a week away (with three of those days spent at the beach) my hair was ready for some TLC. I applied a little of this after washing my hair and left it on while I finished my shower, a little longer than the recommended 60 seconds. After rinsing my hair was super easy to comb out, but also hard to style. That’s ok, I feel like it was worth it to have soft hair. I still have plenty of mask left over to share with my daughter!
Marcelle City Anti-Pollution Micellar Foaming Cleanser ($5.67) was perfect for taking along on vacation, I needed a cleanser! It also says it is anti-pollution, and I was visiting a part of Southern California that has smog.
I used it twice a day, one pump in the morning, and 3-4 at night. I needed to remove sunscreen, sea salt and sand, and all the other junk clinging to my skin and this was very good, I felt like it kept everything clean. I also appreciate that it was fragrance-free.
Philosophy Purity Ultra-Light Moisturizer ($1.44) I also threw this in my beauty kit but only used it a couple of times. It has fragrance in it along with bitter orange extract and although it was light, I need something thicker for my dry skin.
Beautaniq Beauty Glow Serum Liquid Highlighter ($22) I used to dislike highlighters but now I love them! This one is water-based and has aloe, apricot extract, and glycerin and a little goes a long way. Use it to brighten eyes, cheeks, cupid’s box, or shoulders, or mix into body lotion for an all-over glow. Swatched below.
Peek Metalimatte Cream Blush in A-Boo ($22) Wow, another mini full-sized product, Birchbox has me covered with the travel sizes this month!
This shade is described as Peachy Pink and is perfect for my coloring! I applied it with my fingers but you can use a brush and just gently pat onto the cheeks, adding more for a bit more color. I felt like it was goof-proof.

I was really happy with my June Birchbox! I wasn’t excited about the mask but it ended up being perfect for dry summer hair, and the cleanser was very generously sized. Despite their small sizes the blush and highlighter are actually full-sized products, and my only disappointment was the facial moisturizer, which I deliberately didn’t pick for a sample choice but received it anyway. Oh well, 4 out of 5 is awesome! Plus, my value this month was amazing – $56.11!
