birchbox october 2015 review

Everything in my October box!

BioRepublic Skincare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask ($2.90) This is a fiber sheet mask (as opposed to a collagen mask). I’m taking it with me to sunny Florida to help recover from long days in the sun! Score! I find that aloe works wonders for skin damage, and while I always use SPF 50 and reapply religiously, better safe than sorry. I was excited about this!

Too Cool For School DINOPLATZ HIGHLIGHTER ($5.5) What a gorgeous little bottle! This is a South Korean brand and it’s a fantastic highlighter in “Baby pink clam.” I couldn’t review it on the Birchbox site because it was out of stock, but I sent them a help request.  I love how they are stocking fun international brands and sending them out in boxes, too!

W3LL PEOPLE Expressionist Mascara ($11?) All-natural mascara! I selected this as my sample choice and I was glad I did. I was surprised to find a really nicely engineered brush. Not my usual fave big huge mascara, but I liked it – until I wore it for an hour. This one totally flaked off!

R+Co DEATH VALLEY Dry Shampoo ($7.37)  This is hilarious – I went to the Birchbox Store in Soho a few months ago (see my Birchbox Soho photos!) and I wanted to try this, but I didn’t and I kicked myself later. Tada, it finally showed up! It has a seriously hard spray which means it’s blasting the drying action right at your roots. This had an excellent scent and I would classify it as a light dry shampoo – enough to perk you up and absorb some oil – but no big texturizing action.

Lollia by Margot Elena Shea Butter Handcreme – In Love ($2.06) I love Margot Elena and everything they do. This scent is classic petals, apple blossom, jasmine, living rose. It smells pretty and I’ll use it up – but I admit that I personally love Tokyomilk Dark (another brand in the Margot Elena family) even more!
