The April GlobeIn box is one of the best of the year. If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a stainless steel tiffin you will want to get this one! Only a few boxes are left as of this morning. GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a monthly subscription box full of artisan goods from producers all over the world. GlobeIn sources its products exclusively from non-profits, artisan collectives and other organizations that ensure a fair wage is paid to the artisans and farmers. This subscription was recently pepped up a bit – no more variations, higher value, and I have to say that I’m really loving it.
The April GlobeIn theme is “Picnic.”
The GlobeIn box comes with a nice tri-fold full color information card. The letter discusses the Picnic theme, and hopes you will eat mindfully and live joyfully every day. Each box includes stories on the country of origin of each product as well as the stories of the artisans and farmers who create them.
Instead of a recipe this month, there was a fun play with your food idea, encouraging you to be an artisan, too.
The April box! Every GlobeIn box I have received comes packed in the outer box and most everything is inside the nice leaf basket. I love the palm leaf basket ($12) that is in every box. They’re woven by Oaxacan artisans and dyed with natural paints. I’ve been collecting these for decor in my kids’ “adventure/global” playroom.
EcoLunchbox Hand-printed Khatri Cotton Napkin Set (~$10) These napkins are absolutely gorgeous. We are a cloth napkin family and I am going to save these for my work lunches. Just for me!
Tiffin-inspired Tri Bento Lunchbox from India ($24) This is so cute to take a picnic lunch in. Even though this is branded for the American market, it’s made in India, which is no surprise, because it’s not even all the rage there, it’s just how lunch is handled. If I could get hot fresh Indian food delivered to my office every day in a tiffin I’d be so happy. I love the compact design of this non-plastic lunchbox and I just might decide to bring the leaf basket from this month to work for storage of my box!
I eat breakfast at work too, so this is perfect!
Kopali Organics Dried Mango ($5?) Deliciously ripe dried organic mango. No preservatives, sugar, or sulfur. This product supports sustainable artisan farmers and my kids adored it. It looks like it’s available at Whole Foods. I may not be able to find it here but now I know my kids love this super healthy snack!
All Good Unscented Sunstick by Elemental Herbs ($7.99) What’s a picnic without sunshine? This sunstick is a nice unscented balm. It’s reef-safe, uses non-nano Zinc Oxide and uses jojoba, coconut and avocado to keep your skin soft.
I absolutely loved this box, it’s one of my new favorites. Plus, the April box had a great value at around $47 – not including the leaf basket! Monthly boxes are $35 and based what I’ve seen in the past couple months, a 6 month subscription (down to $30 a month) might be a great treat!
