Both cost $20, have free shipping to Canada/US (no international shipping yet), and you can also add on some extra bonuses like a perfect teaspoon or extra tea bags. They also have a tasty tea guarantee — if you don’t like a tea in your box, they’ll replace it in your next box!

I can’t wait to see what’s inside!
Everything in my box!
I received a tea postcard, which can be sent to a friend or propped on a desk. Looks like a nice cup of golden milk in this pic!
I received a sheet that listed each of my teas and that includes a discount code for the Amoda website.
I received a roll of disposable tea bags so I can make my own teas before steeping. You can also use a strainer, French press, or tea making system.
Wow, these all look so good!
Amoda Golden Hour Relaxing Turmeric Latte Blend ($2) Wow, is this some potent stuff! It is a latte blend that you dissolve in hot water or nut milk and sip as a relaxing evening beverage. There isn’t any tea leaves in here, it’s an herbal.
Turmeric, ashwagandha, reishi, ginger, and a few other ingredients are supposed to help the body unwind while calming the nerves and preparing the body for sleep. It also has monkfruit, presumably as a sweetener. I don’t usually have nut milk on hand so I used water and blended it with a whisk. I found the concoction very spicy and invigorating, it’s some hot stuff! It had an herbal medicinal taste about it and you can expect the bottom of the cup to have lots of sediment afterwards. Caution: do not use your best cup because the turmeric will stain it yellow. I had luck removing the stain with Clorox Clean-Up with bleach.
Geek + Tea Dark Matter Tea One of the things I love about Amoda is that they introduce a new tea brand each month, and this sure was a wonderful one – I hope to see more from this brand in the future!
The flavor sent was superb, what a great way to introduce a new brand! This tea is made of black tea leaves, bergamot, and raspberry. It is a combo of Earl Grey and raspberry. What a unique twist and it works so well! I added milk and sugar and enjoyed this outside on a lovely spring day.
Elevation Tea Company Banana Split Black Tea It is so helpful that Amoda lists steeping instructions on the tea bag, such as water temperature, amount of tea to use, and steeping time.
This blend has black tea, rooibos, and pu-erh plus cacao nibs and the flavors of a banana split! I used one flat teaspoon and found that the tea was mild and didn’t have any bitterness at all. I did add a bit of sugar and enjoyed the fruity flavor of the tea. I didn’t feel like it had any of the usual “funk” associated with pu-erh but this was a really tasty tea.
Amoda Tea Remedy Herbal Tea Herbal Remedy is a drink that you can imbibe any time of the year, but that may be especially beneficial during cold and flu season. Amoda wants us to keep healthy!
This all-organic tisane is made with ginger, cinnamon, elderberries, peppermint, rosemary, lemongrass, peppercorns, and star anise. It is my favorite type of herbal tea because it is lacking rooibos and hibiscus, those seem to be in every herbal! The elderberries may even help the immune system and this blend is based on the principles of Chinese medicine. The ginger was perfect and didn’t burn my throat, while the peppermint made it refreshing. I didn’t even need to add sweetener, it was that good!
Amoda really stepped up their game this month, and I steeped up these delicious April teas! All of them were tasty but my favorites were Dark Matter (please send more from this brand!) and Amoda’s own Remedy blend, perfect for this extended and exceptional flu season/pandemic we are experiencing. Golden Hour was an interesting flavor and Banana Split was perfect for a not-too-stimulating afternoon drink. With Amoda you can expect tasty blends and new brands along with tried and true makers and new twists on classic flavors.
