Konenkii is a quarterly “discovery” subscription box for modern women — north of 40. According to the website, “Each quarter we find some intriguing items to share. Some you can use right away and some are to savor. But it’s really about giving yourself a little treat. Something to look forward to. Just for you.” Although the contents of the box are a surprise, Konenkii promises that “you can always count on finding something fabulous to eat, to wear, to read, or share.”
Can I just say, as a woman north of 40, that I was super psyched to review this box? I’ve been jealous of the fun subscription boxes aimed at my tween and teen daughters…but hadn’t seen one that was made for me. Konenkii totally got this one right. This post reviews the special Valentine’s Day box ($55). This box is available to purchase until it sells out, which will be soon – there’s only a handful left. Order by noon PST on Wednesday and they’ll ship within the continental 48 states for delivery in time for Sunday!
The outside of the box is a nice, mature red color. (Not that I don’t love the pink mylar envelopes that some other boxes use, but this one screamed “Mom’s box” before it came into the house.)
Opening up the box, everything was red and pink — not surprising for Valentine’s Day. I already felt a little bit more loved – plus the pink squiggle packing paper made opening the box fun.
The Valentine’s Day/love theme was everywhere in the box – look at all the fun stuff inside. Plus I love packages to unwrap. I couldn’t wait to find out what was in the white box with the red ribbon. But first, the outside of card explains Konenkii. I liked how the theme (“a heart that loves is always young”) combined love with Konenkii’s motto of living fearlessly north of 40.
The inside of the card provided information about the products in the box – along with suggestions for using them.
Glass Locket & Floating and Dangle Charms: I couldn’t wait to figure out what was in the white box, so I opened it first — of course. Inside was a necklace with a “FEARLESS” charm and a locket. Inside the locket is a little floating heart.
The locket is magnetic, so I could open it and put in another charm, but I personally like the heart and will wear it as it came.
The Little Book of Love by Tiddy Rowan: Next up was this book. It is a nice, hardcover book (in a lovely pink color). Inside, the book is full of quotes, aphorisms, and advice about — you guessed it — love.
This is a sweet book and it would make a good gift for someone you love. I’m going to keep mine though – flipping through it made me feel all warm inside.
Black Dinah Red Wine Chocolates: I don’t know about all women north of 40, but the way to this particular woman’s heart is chocolate…and Konenkii did not disappoint. The next item was a 4-pack of truffles and they were amazing. I am not ashamed to say I ate them all, without sharing with my family. There were two Peruvian Varietal truffles and two flavored with goat cheese and honey. Both flavors were just divine. Yeah, I realize I’m gushing about chocolate, these were decadent.
Love Spell Lotion Candle: I love candles and I love lotion, so I thought I had seen everything…but this product was something new on me. You light this like a normal candle and wait for the wax to turn liquid. Then you blow out the candle, wait a minute or two for the wax to cool, and then you use it as a lotion. Fun!
Photo Holder: The next item was a cute addition – a little acrylic heart base with the wire heart clip that holds photos, recipes, or this sweet quote about chocolate and love that was included in the box.
Rainy Apple Shoppe’s Handmade Rose Petal Soap: This soap smells amazing – I’m definitely looking forward to testing it out. I’m a sucker for handmade scented soap anyway – and rose petal is such a pretty smell.
Grow a Garden Seeded Valentine: The last item listed on the contents card is this seeded valentine – soak in water, plant, and wildflowers will grow. I’m not much of a green thumb, but this seems simple enough for even me.
Last, but not least, there were a couple of items in the box that weren’t listed on the content card – bonus! And who doesn’t love bonus goodies? There was a bottle of gorgeous red Sinful Colors nail polish. It made me laugh because I had a manicurist tell me “only old ladies” wear dark red polish. Nope – fearless ladies north of forty love red nails.
Finally, there was a stick-on credit card holder. I love these little silicone pockets and I can always use another one. (Yes, I really do have these on the back of my phone, back of my wallet, etc., to hold things. So useful to keep important stuff easily at hand.)
The curators of the Konenkii boxes got this one spot on. I loved everything in the box and felt like it was picked just for me. I think this would be a great box to give to a friend, wife, sister, mother, whoever…any woman who wants a fun “discovery” box that is age appropriate in all the right ways. I can only imagine the spring quarter box is going to be just as awesome!

I definitely need to try this box!
I love this box. I would have thought more boxes would have had a Valentine theme but this makes up for it.
