October!
Richer Poorer Hope Slipper Sock ($15) These are fuzzy and warm and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the non slip rubber dots in the bottom and the cute white stripes – and of course the thought to make pink socks for October! These are going to be my downstairs couch socks (I am always cold downstairs!).
Honest Company Sea Salt + Sugar Body Scrub ($16.95) I have one of these open in the shower and it seemed silly to open it for the review because I can tell you that it’s very thick and packed with exfoliating sugar and really helps form a barrier for dry skin. I use it on my legs in the shower and it works great. Smells yummy too.
Belgian Boys All Natural Stroopwafel ($1.50) I love Stroopwafels. I believe that my 13 month old may have consumed approximately 40 or so while in utero. I like the cold rather than warmed. Like not refrigerated, just air conditioned. I know this is weird, because they’re designed to sit on top of a cup of coffee or tea. But there you go.
Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling ($15) She’s so funny. Does she really live in rural New Hampshire?? It says so on the back inside jacket cover!
In Why Not Me?, Kaling shares her ongoing journey to find contentment and excitement in her adult life, whether it’s falling in love at work, seeking new friendships in lonely places, attempting to be the first person in history to lose weight without any behavior modification whatsoever, or most important, believing that you have a place in Hollywood when you’re constantly reminded that no one looks like you.
Mindy turns the anxieties, the glamour, and the celebrations of her second coming-of-age into a laugh-out-loud funny collection of essays that anyone who’s ever been at a turning point in their life or career can relate to. And those who’ve never been at a turning point can skip to the parts where she talks about meeting Bradley Cooper.
Savvy Sleepers 100% Satin Pillow Case ($36) I’m really excited about this item! My daughter and I both have wicked cases of bedhead, and we’re both going to try it out to see if it works for us. If it does, we’re going satin for our pillows! The insert says something about preventing face wrinkles, which sounds ridiculous, but I think it obviously will help with hair. There’s also a secret pocket, which I’m sure could be used for a variety of items.
Easy, Tiger Brown Paper Liquor Bag Set ($8) Should you have the fortitude to not drink your wine and need some holiday gifts, just slip them in and gift!
Special Extra: It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product ($9) This is a bonus item. I’ve used it before but I didn’t realize until I was looking at the ingredients this time that it includes parabens. I wish they would remove them because it does work really well! (I also thought it was inappropriate to include it in a box with one of the themes as Breast Cancer Awareness).
Special Extra: Danielle Stevens Jewelry Monogram Gift Card ($40) There are no entirely free items in the personalized only section of the site (you must use the card on those items), but it’s still a significant discount if you choose to use yours.
Plus codes for Honest Company & Savvy Sleepers!
This box took a really long time to get to me – and funny enough, last October they had shipping issues too. This was a decent box but it wasn’t a wow box for me – nothing was a huge rock my world sort of thing, but all the items were really solid, and I’m really happy with the cozy socks and pillow case. Without the bonus items the value was around $92, with the hair spray about $101. Popsugar Must Have Box is a giant value and even if you don’t love everything, it all makes great gifts!
