Avery & Austin is a monthly subscription box designed to give you the perfect playdate! Every box includes crafts, healthy snacks, plus a host gift for the lucky parent! It’s perfect for scheduled playdates with new or old friends
This box is so pretty – feel free to send it along with your child to someone else’s house! Avery & Austin didn’t say that… but that’s totally what I’m doing with mine! This is an awesome idea.
Everything in the box!
I’m going a little backwards in my photos – but the information card gives the details on the easy-to-complete crafts – enough for 2 kids. This month was back to school themed.
The box included 2 pen/pencil cases to decorate, and a set of Crayola fabric markers! This will be a fun craft, and I love that each child will get to bring home something to keep that isn’t paper-based. In our house paper-based items generally go away after approximately 30 days.
Four rolls of Decorative Duck Tape, PaperClips, and a nice stack of pencils – You can do anything with Duck Tape! This activity was to make decorated pencils by wrapping them with the Duck Tape, and then cool page markers by attaching Duck Tape flags. There was plenty in here for lots of craft ideas, so the hostess could keep it for her own projects!
Vamousse Lice Protection Sample: Back to school season means lice for some large percentage of parents. This is homeopathic and pesticide-free lice protection shampoo. I have a couple samples of this that I’ve been hoarding and will deploy when we hear about and lice issues (yes I know they don’t jump, but the kids do not seem to have the personal space issues that adults do!).
Revolution Foods Dynamos Protein Power Bites – Triple Berry: These soft baked granola bites are naturally flavored and feature 6 grams of protein! There’s a snack for two kids in every box.
Dogeared Lil Zip Beauty Is Every Where Case ($24) I love how they sent a Dogeared item as the hostess gift! It’s a very sturdy canvas, made in the US, and I think most women would appreciate a pretty pouch. I was impressed. FYI – the host gifts in this box are for women, because that is who actually buys them. If a dad is hosting a playdate, just grab a nice extra item from your stash and tuck it in 🙂
There was also a swag bag, 2 Pink Pearl Erasers wrapped up like candy, and some pencil sharpeners.
Mabel’s Labels Write Away Labels ($18) This was an awesome bonus item! We have these and they work spectacularly. We weren’t sad at all to see more of them – we use them up pretty quickly. They’re waterproof and microwave and dishwasher safe!
A variety of coupons were included, including two coupons for a free Revolution Foods Jet Pack (I think they’re all natural versions of Lunchables) or Dynamoz snack (protein power bites).
I think this is such a thoughtful box to have when foisting your child on another parent – but you’d like it too if you just wanted to keep it for yourself to do a craft with your child, or let siblings or cousins craft together. The value of the bonus items was unexpected for me, and a really fun surprise. There’s a half-off deal through the end of the year – and having a box like this around would be perfect for the holiday season just in case!
