Nice and full – and it’s a big box, too! This is the Fit Snack curation criteria:
- Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO Free, High in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
- Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
- Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.
I am pretty happy with any combo there!
There’s a large information card with the photo, name of the product, and a bit of information about each one.
The back of the card features a workout.
And there was a recipe card featuring the cooking item in the box!
As you can see, it was quite a spread (including doubles of some for sharing)!
Numi Emperor’s Pu-erh Organic Tea – This says it’s a coffee alternative. I’m a coffee guy, but its nice to have a go-to alternative when you’re not in the mood for Joe. Herba mate, chicory, date beans and the like will cut it, but I always welcome a new tea.
E-Hydrate Drink Mix: Its got electrolytes. Its what plants crave. [Note from Brandy – I was like TOM that’s a terrible description! Then my husband reminded me it’s from one of the funniest movies of all time – Idiocracy! He doesn’t know much about these because I use them 🙂 ]
Wondergrain Sorghum: I cooked up a pot of these, and even the kids liked it. Nice and chewy, they are a great alternative grain. This 1 lb bag is good for many, many meals worth (or a huge picnic salad for potluck).
B’Bites Cinnamon Raisin Fruit & Nut Snack: There are a lot of raisins in here. Very tasty and a good alternative to processed bars, its raw, all-natural, vegan, gluten-free, etc, etc.
Go Raw Chewy Apricot Sprouted Bar: Vegan and nut free, this bar features sprouted chia and real fruit. The seeds are surprisingly tender — its more like fruit leather than it is a fruit bar.
Oberto All Natural Beef Jerky: Jerky is the classic go-to for a real-food protein snack. Oberto is all natural and gluten free. This was really good and tender and I was surprised how great this was.
Kameda Crisps Sweet Chili Snack: not overly spicy, they have that classic Asian snack-crisp tastes.
Snack Out Loud Foods Crunchy Bean Snack: a little crunchy for my tastes, but nicely seasoned.
Zouq Foods Golden Lentils: These are awesome! Crispy-crunchy and savory, they are very munchable and gluten free.
Jackson’s Honest Sweet Potato Chips: Once you get a taste for sweet potato chips, regular potato chips just seem flavorless and greasy. These are kettle-cooked, so they are actually crispy and not chewy like some sweet potato chips.
I was impressed with the number of items included in the box. Nearly all the food offerings were gluten-free, vegan, or otherwise a cut above normal snack fare health wise.
