Super Geek Box is a monthly geek subscription box that promises a new shirt every month or something 2x epic.
Luigi is escaping from the box!
The September Theme is “Rumble.”
The information card lists what is in the box and shows the variations.
Here are the items in the September Super Geek Box. There’s a Luigi to keep the August Donkey Kong plush company.
PA Anna: Subscribers could receive either a Nintendo Mario Plush or Luigi Plush ($11.48). J (8) happily added him to his collection.
T (17): Luigi! My personal favorite of the two plumbers, Luigi is Mario’s younger brother, and in my opinion is wayyy better in Mario games thanks to his extraordinary jumping. Do you remember when you picked Mario for a reason other than being the “main character”? I don’t either.
PA Anna: J is excited to see a Kirby item! The Exclusive NerdCre8 Star Rod Ribbon Necklace will be used to hold pins.
T: A Star rod! This item is from the Kirby series. It has been used to beat the final boss in a game. I know it much better as the item I use to spam J in Super Smash Brothers 🙂
PA Anna: Here’s the first pin that will be placed on the Star Rod Ribbon Necklace.
PA Anna: Subscribers will receive either a red or blue bracelet. I need a cheat sheet when I play any game against my boys.
T: Streetfighter! These are the actual controls from the original street fighter game to perform these moves! This is great!
PA Anna: I asked T why there was a Diary of a Wimpy Kid sticker in the box. Apparently, I am wrong about the Exclusive Digital Classic Laser Cut Vinyl which T recognized right away. We are starting to run out of room for all the cool magnets that J loves. We will somehow find room for the Exclusive Like A Bowse Magnet.
T: Anyone recognizes this character? He’s older than Pac-Man. It’s Mr. Game and Watch! Here he is performing on of his moves from Super Smash Brothers called “Judge,” where he attacks with a hammer and holds up anything between 1 and 9. If someone recognizes this then you know they would make for a great friend.
Like a Bowse. A take on “like a boss” (not sure if my mom knows about that.) Bowser Jr. seems to be taking control of the Mario baddies, sending Bullet Bills into action beyond some Goombas. I see two mushrooms and a superstar too.
PA Anna: Mom KNOWS all.
PA Anna: J loves this shirt. Almost everything he wears has a Pokemon on it.
T; JIGGLYPUFF YESS!!! Jigglypuff is a Pokemon and has been in all of the Super Smash Brothers games. I LOVE using Jigglypuff when I play against J, so that when I beat him I can say he lost to Jigglypuff. Did you notice the Pikachu being sent off the shirt? Jigglypuff is performing the move “rest” where Jigglypuff rests and then sends an opponent flying! Fantastic wordplay here.
J ‘s favorite item in the September Super Geek Box is the t-shirt with the Luigi box being a close second. T wanted a shirt for himself. Maybe, one day, the Geek boxes will come up with a way to add a second shirt to the box. It’s an excellent family-friendly geek/gamer box that also offers exclusives.
