July is the month where you can choose a palm leaf basket or the Nocano Asin Sea Salt! The GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a monthly subscription box full of artisan goods from producers all over the world.  GlobeIn sources its products exclusively from non-profits, artisan collectives and other organizations that ensure a fair wage is paid to the artisans and farmers.

New Look
New Look

GlobeIn is sporting a new look. What do you think of it?

The theme for July is Savor!

It’s no wonder the sensual experience of letting something delicious melt into our tongues best teaches us what it’s like to enjoy something completely, to slow down enough so that the full range of its flavor palette stretches out and unfolds like tingly muscles after a night’s sleep. Indeed, when we savour, we are newcomers to the world again, our senses keen to receive.

Of course, savouring’s a two-way street—the food’s got to be good! The senses must be pleased! The items in this month’s zesty kit arrive with a message for the senses: to taste, see, and relish, to hear, touch, and twang, to sniff, zing, and essence—to mmmm.

The ceramic shakers ($20.00) are made by Hebron Glass, which employs 60 artisans in the ancient city Herbrom. They are handpainted with an ornate floral design that is a part of the Palestinian culture. The shakers are beautiful and well-made. Time to update my kitchen table with new shakers!

Ceramic Spoon Rest - Palestinian Territories

The spoon rest($18.00) is decorated with the  same classic Palestinian design. The colors are rich and vibrant. I am in need of a spoon rest and will be using this tomorrow.

The Neem Wood Spice Bowl ($15.00) is made by the West Bengal woodcarving community is located in a low-lying delta that has felt the effects of climate change with farming no longer being viable as it was in the past. The West Bengal woodcarving community works with The Village Experience to bring work to the area. The GlobeIn order has increased their revenue by 23% this past year. I love wood pieces and find the bowl to be gorgeous. The lid edge slightly tapers downward. It can hold mints, spices, or whatever comes to mind. I may keep it on my dresser to store ponytail holders in it because I love how it looks like an acorn to me.

Good things come in small packages! The Nocano Asin Sea Salt ($12.00) is harvested from the pure seawaters surrounding the island of Luxon. It has a crunchy texture. Women weavers on the island of Cabilao created the eco-friendly packaging for the salt. I can’t wait to try out the salt!

The July Artisan box is still available until it’s sold out! I love the beauty of the salt shakers and the spoon rest. The spice bowl is made out of gorgeous wood. The sea salt will be used. The mini basket will be reused. It’s one of my favorite GlobeIn boxes! GlobeIn has been innovative in offering subscribers basket options, past themes, and add-ons. We will be enjoying our July GlobeIn Box, and hope you do too!
